Lol, well, my bad. Still pretty new at this, so all help is greatly appreciated. :D

Wonderful, thank you. Done. :]

If not  BITE ME... LOL..

I have no comment, simply for the reasoning that I may get temporarily banned [again] -_-;;

Looks good though m8, great job.

Thank you. Coming from an obviously experienced modeler like yourself, I consider hat high praise. :] I've only been at this for 7 months... xD

7 months...  thats incredible.

I have been doing this for 6 years . . now and again you come across a quality modeler who picks it up through hard work and determination in a snap like you have, no doubt through help from other guys on here..   So this time next year we will be asking YOU for tips..

Great work man. Insperational for all those willing to try.... wait... be patient...  and fu**ing learn  8)

Dang, got here too late, but its better than never i guess
That deflector looks almost exatly like a design im using, just on its side lol
Thou my inspiration for it came from my wireless headset for my xbox :D
It just shows what you can come up with when you look at the environment around urself...
Plowing my way through the modding tutorials of the great internets :D

Update. have a nice, long, hard look at the deflector. xD I'm having too much fun with this. A thousand thanks to senator for his help with the Array tool. :D

-edit- The nacelle is out of place because I'm tweaking it to add some cool shiznit I thought of today, looking at sports cars as I walked past the dealerships to work. xD Haaaaa...

-edit 2-

I've had a really cool thought; I want to do something very similar to the defiant, with the deflector... I have some cool ideas floating in my head. Unfortunately the grating added a LOT more polies than I thought it would. So I'm not certain... literally, it just about doubled the poly count. :/ SO... I'm not sure about it. We'll have to wait and see what I can pull together, here.

You should just be able to use a transparent texture with a grate pattern on it, instead of modeling it in....maybe..

im going to have to agree....its to many polys for such a small detail, especially when they could be used elsewhere to greater effect

Aww. I thought it looked really awesome anyways. xD I may leave it on for the CGI version I wanna do. [I've been thinking that I'll do a high-poly model and a low[ish]-poly model, simply because I can't resist the details. personally, I think it adds a lot to that area of the ship. I'm actually working on a really dope deflector that I'll get to later on today after work. I think you'll all like love it, but I'll keep a backup of the original deflector in case it turns out to be far too high-poly for you folks. :] I just wanted to TRY it. At least now I know the basics of the Array tool, too. So wether or not I actually KEEP it, I've learned something from it! :D Whee, it's a win/win scenario!

Looks cool enough, but this is definitely one of those things to use textures for.

Nah i have to disagress on this one, the mesh over the deflector looks cool, but it all depends on how many polies the actual ships is so far. if its reasonable id keep it.

Keep up the excellent work ;)

just make the mesh one sided and it won't be that many polys really.

I think I can do this by only adding 2 polies. Sen might teach me how to do the whole transparent texture deal. :D

Maybe you should add a spoiler, and maybe some spinner wheels. :D  Those are top-of-the-line manifolds, tritanium plated, and chrome finish.  Starship Mithra can go from Warp 1 to Warp 9.998 in 5.2 seconds.  Good work.......good luck on mapping and texturing.
