This is looking nice though.

Looks kinda Chabot-ey. :D just kiddin. Looks good.

*whistles innocently and looks off into space*  You want oatmeal raisin or chocolate chip?

Chocolate chip sounds nice. Don't forget the milk.

*slams Dalekanium2 into a chair, forces his mouth open, puts a giant funnel in, then pours a few gallons of milk and then hands him a truckload of chocolate chip cookies*

I feel like a cow gone hyper.

Only those whose lives are brief can imagine that love is eternal. You should embrace that remarkable illusion. It may be the greatest gift your race has ever received."

Oh that would be a sight to behold, wouldn't it?  Besides, he'll find out about it sooner or later, especially since I posted a link in 9th forums.  :-p

Dalek....cow gone hyper?  Now that's something I'd be interesting in seeing.

*looks for his camera*

Oh, and a little bit of news on the ship front.  Was introduced to a couple good tutorials on making different kinds of nacelles, and also found someone who's actually willing to work with me step by step.

Things are definately looking up.  Stay tuned.

Still at it, but coming close to a dead end.  I could always use existing warp engines, but I am determined to learn to make them myself.  It'll happen soon.

Anyway, torpedo pod and pylon assembly finished.  I think it came out pretty good, don't you guys?

*smacks Dawg with a rubber chicken and turns him into Nanner's shoe*  BOW BEFORE THE POWER OF MY RUBBER CHICKENS!!!

MUAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

*smacks Dawg again and turns him back to normal*

Thanks for the cookie.

I've created a saucer for this baby, and it's pretty decent.  Nothing fancy.  Excelsior in design.  However, all I have right now is a lathed spline.  No other details on the saucer yet, such as the impulse drive assembly and other things.  I know I'm gonna need help in that.

Looking good so far :) Try rendering without backface culling on so we can see the neck properly. Also, add some damn smoothing to it :P

How do I do that rendering without backfacing?  Never done that before.

And maybe I will make a few more renders with some smoothing.

I do know that I'm gonna resize all them torpedoes cause I think they're a bit too big for a ship this size.  She's supposed to be on par with an Excelsior.

Well Limey, ya wanted smoothing, ya got smoothing.  I applied a smoothing of 30 to the mesh just for ya.

What you think?

Oh, and so far, the ship stands at a little over 3500 polys when converted to an editable mesh.

Looks better :D The good thing about adding the smoothing as you go, is it can show up areas that need more polys to smooth out. Like, on 12.jpg, you can see the smoothing groups struggling to smooth out a bit near the bottom.

Where?  I don't see a problem.
