20 decks @ ~450 meters sounds about right. Voyager had a similar basic shape to the Sun Tzu Class, was about 340 meters in length, with a deck count of 15.

Hey Darran, I would add a few more turbo lift shafts to like engineering and such. Just one simple shaft seems too small and short for a ship like this.

I just thought of something.

The nacelle pylons join to the hull at the bottom, so a warp drive far away wouldn't make much since. It's been a while since we've seen a horizontal warp drive. I recall something in the history of the Delta ships that one of them would have a horizontal warp drive (DJ?)

So maybe the warp drive can be horizontal, so that way it can be low enough to not be far from the start of the pylons.

This could make ejection faster, as well as expose a critical hardpoint on the invincible Sun Tzu. :twisted:

EDIT- Found it in "Enterprise F", a theory on Century-class design, released with the Enterprise F.

Looks really good so far, Darran. Deck number seems about right, as you correctly inferred that the saucer rim is one deck tall. I also really like the color scheme you've got going, and I think it would suit a bridge retexture really well. I'm going to contact Mark to see if a Prometheus bridge edit is okay.

Couple things...

Use the current registry just as a placeholder, all the regs for my ship have some significance, but it will have to be in the 90,000+ range. I'll hammer out an exact number on the weekend.

Also, the ship that will be released will be the USS Athena, so if the name on the msd could reflect that, that would be perfect. I love how it's shaping up so far.

Oh, and don't forget the matter and the antimatter storage (matter being a LOT bigger than anti matter) Darran. Look at cross section schems of cannon ships for that. Also, you might wanna make the computer core radiuses about 50% greater.

Very early texture work.

I'm going to go with a raised panel look like Voyager, though I plan to add a great deal of paneling detail over an above what is seen on Voyager, which is rather plain.

Odd colour scheme. And seemingly too much gradient-ness (if there is such a word).

It's my crack at a 25th C colour scheme, the gradients are supposed to be indicative of reflections, i think it makes the image more vibrant less flat, anyhoo heres an update, too onboard the advice and laid the core horizontal, the space either side will house the various storage tanks, added holodecks and finished the shuttle bay (that type 11 took an age to draw!!!), oh and corrected the name, this thing is still a long way off done but I am considering taking up the full bridge retexture once the exams are over

Darran I cant see youre most recent one either, so I dont think this is a random occurance. My suggestion is to stop using ImageShack and upload straight to the board. Seems to work fine for most people.

Barihawk, I think that if you and Darran want to team up, with my help, on editing the Prometheus bridge for this, I'd be game. The only thing is that permission is required before we begin.
