MVAM Core Ejection
« on: February 12, 2009, 02:19:37 PM »
Hey everyone, I'm new to this site, not new to what mods are or how to use them though so I'll get that outta the way. This post is just to ask if anyone would be able to tell me how or possibly make a mod to eject the warp core using MVAM rather than the plugin made by Sneaker98 which is known and loved by everyone.

I basically was thinking that after being ejected there would be an animation of the core leaving the ship and entering the ship with tractors holding it, I got thinking about the idea after watching Star Trek: Voyager recently, more specifically "Day of Honor".

Either way, tell me what you think and I look forward to any comments. =)

yeah, that's what the idea is though, to have a cutscene as  it happens

Hmm, you could MVAM it, using an MVAM plugin would trigger a cutscene.

Not sure how you'd do the tractors though, would probably require additional scripting.

Well, I would "force" the cutscene into the Sneakers script, and not try to do much additional scripting in the Mvam Scripts. Though I never really used Cutscenes, I have no  idea of how to do them.
Anyway, I think this belongs to Scripting, not to the modding Section.
