USS Obama Install
« on: March 13, 2009, 03:17:18 PM »
Just a random question and it fits in here, does anyone have an USS Obama install done if so can you send it my way? :) Since I can't install it due to it just being files added up like textures, and the model file.

I took a look at this, its not a finished ship by any means there is no hardpoint file for it yet among other things, I dont even think it had a nif file yet (though I just made one for it)

Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee."

*Moved to BC Modding*

Maybe it should even be in BC General, but let's try that first.
I still can't read peoples minds, nor can I read peoples computers, even worse, I can't combine the two to read what is going wrong with your BC install...

at bcfiles, a modder has currently made several versions (i believe the USS President for him self and the USS Proteus for someone else). He also has hardpointed the ship.

He says he is probably going to release 2 versions, one original (USS Obama) and another one. I really hope he is releasing the ship soon  :D

I believe GMunoz has made the Obama BC-able now. He's cinqic's/clperkin's hardpointer. The only reason I know this is cos he just made POTD with the Obama.

Thing is MRJOHN no long makes his ships for BC.  He used to.  Heck, he did a version of the Warship Voyager for me a while back.  But now he mods for Legacy.  Don't know why.  That's why all his stuff will be models only, pretty much. :(

Well, that and conversion from Legacy, which from what I've heard, isn't all that easy.  Might be why we don't have a Luna-class Titan in BC yet...

I compose music too, but I'll be kicking around doing hps for some time yet.

It must be conversion.  Doesn't seem like an easy task...

edit
sorry - i hadnt actually looked at that file (to see it's structure) as it is at BCFiles...  i assumed the model was complete and ready to go for BC and only needed HPs...

hmmm  seems like an impass then... :(
i wish that could be figured out...
it might be useful to have a thread for converting Legacy ships into BC...
(i will admit, ive never played Legacy, my old crappy comp prolly could never even run it lol; so i dont know the first thing about it...)

GMunoz has the ships ingame that means he has a complete ship ready for install!

he's probably testing the ship now. also, he will most likely release two versions of the ship one original and one with a different name since most people don't like the name obama.

I for instance, i do like the name, but if a different, better, name shows up, i'm probably going to download that one!

be patient and watch the old potd, the thread at the model only file and the frontpage of BCFilefront!!!
