Ive got good news and I got bad news, the good news is that I found a completed model on the internet and downloaded it. The bad news is it was designed for ST Armada 2 so it is really really REALLY!!! low poly.

Google "Loknar Class". There's your TMP NX-variant imho. I applaud the effort, but retrofitting the ENT-era NX-01 model, kitbashing other parts onto it, trying to merge other hulls onto the saucer etc, really doesn't make it look a whole lot better. Your TNG-era NX looks "tolerable" after the changes by baz.

I am well aware of the existance of the Loknar Class, However, that does not apeal to me as a tmp nx-style ship because of dual deflectors and torp pod. As far as the 25th Century Refit, I created it because the site needed a refit that was more than just an aging kitbashed akira.

Neither one of the images i've linked below (TOS version), show a dual-deflector or torpedo pod setup.

Just saying... there are ways of going about making a proper refit, and for the TMP-era, the Loknar Class is the closest you'll get to -either- the NX-01, or the Akira Class, while a 25th Century NX-Class, would essentially be a refitted or otherwise updated "Akira Class", in order to keep the design lineage, without completely rehashing the original style.

But seeing as this entire post is completely offtopic, feel free to ignore it. Just pointing out a few of my opinions on how to improve things without making it look "tacky".

Nice work..

I am all for low poly, but that model looks more like an early SFCII model than one for todays, engines..  smooth the mesh out a bit, and ur on for a winner..

good job

I prefer this version than the crappy red admiral version. How the red admiral version achieves warp without any visible deflector, i have no idea. The pylons are too long, mounted in a weird position, too.

The Miranda Class had no visible deflector and yet it worked fine to enter/exit warp. As did many other non-standard canon ships.

True...but I'd prefer all modern Starfleet ships to have deflectors.

I forget who the mesh-owner/artist was for this one, but this is where the NX-Class / U.S.S. Phobos subclass should be going in STO & elsewhere. My only nitpick, bring the secondary hulls about one-third to half way further forward.

Sweet! Someone's taking on the Koerner Enterprise!
Licard, I've got quite a few large images of it from before he took his site down, so if you want them just PM me, I'm sure there around here... somewhere.

Oh, and I'm digging the TMP NX, though my only suggestion would be try to be "inspired" by TMP rather than just transpose parts, know what I mean?

we shall call it the ......... MIRANDAPRISE !!!! :yay:  .... no.... seriously I doubt SFC would even bothr touching almost 200 years design instead of uprating 20 years old Akira ;) no real point in reviving this ... ship after such a long time on junkyard... sorry if it is too harsh... I have a soft (not) spot for NX class

Thats fine, I...personnaly...quite like it. Oh well, not every bodies cup-o-tea(or coffee) this however, will probably be my last nx-like ship. I really am finding out that I don't have enough time so I may end up posting it on BC-Files under public domain meshes.
