Sweet. I like the Coto-Class, too.  :samtarget: Hmmm...needs Maru type underslung secondary hulls.  :dance

Ill work on a secondary hull. In the meantime, I adapted the weapons rollbar from the beta centauri

Yea, they look nice. Never was a big fan of Ol' NX either, but these look pretty cool.

I was thinking, I want this ship really to be a destroyer, so why not add in the pulse phasers along the lines of the ones on the galaxy dreadnaught(you know, the bug antena lookin things) and a third, underslung naccele. Thoughts?

Please no third underslung nacelle. I can see docking units for underslung Oberth-Class type (tubular or rectangular) multi-mission pods but no third nacelle. I can see a stump instead of the rollbar for mounting Nebula-Class, Luna-Class, or Ronin-Class overhead scientific / tactical modules.

I'm in complete agreement with Hellsgate. The NX-01 design has already been sufficiently screwed up. No need for a pointless 3rd or even 4th nacelle.

I don't know, If the model is done well an NX with 4 nacelles would look good but only in the original era.
(see 1st attached image)

However 3 is a no. its strangely odd to see kitbashes of the NX. The roll bar seems abit out of place, I think its becaue it a  /^\  shape go for more of a Miranda shaped roll bar. ( 2nd attached image )

Alright, made the roll bar more miranda-ish, also widened the torp pod a little bit

Looks ok. But i'd stick with the original version with the nacelles in the 'up' dorsal position. I'd have pulse phaser ports in the front (in the rectangular section above the front lip of the saucer where the navigation deflector should be.) The variant with the nacelles in the down position should be a freighter or science vessel minus the rollbar but with a Nebula type overhead module on a thick vertical EPS/ODN trunk.

I'd have pulse phaser ports in the front . . .

The only issue with that is pulse phasers weren't standard weapons on Starfleet vessels until the DS9 era.  Even then, they were reserved for Defiant and her bretheren.  Look at the Enterprise E: a perfect platform for high-powered weapons (quantum torpedoes anyone?) yet the designers didn't feel it was necessary to include pulse phasers.

And if anyone brings up the Reliant, then so help me . . .

perhaps a little something of "artistic license" could apply...  besides, this isnt something meant for anything onscreen so it little bit of bending-the-rules i think is ok lol :P  just like the Achilles Class, which has pulse phasers...

anywhoo - going back ontopic...
