So I got the modeling bug last night and have been working on this. I know I've go three other ships in the pipe, but hey, why not? It's been a while since I've done anything. I kinda got sucked into STO for a while, but am taking a break. Not sure what this is exactly yet, some sort of upper mid level cruiser. As I've been building it, it's showing signs of Galaxy, Sovereign, Prometheus, and maybe a touch of love too.

Anyhow, pics.

The back seems very disproportionate to the front. If you don't want to lengthen it, then give it some bigger girth and beefier pylons.

as it is now, I'm seeing the same kind of "flat" nacelles that went on the Australia. i also have a feeling you've just created the Enterprise F.

As for being disproportionate in the rear, I actually did beef up the pylons right after posting. Also, the underside is fairly heavy, so as it stands I think it's working on it. Once I've the secondary hull fleshed out I'll post more pics.

DJ so glad to see you modding again. I love your ships!!! The TNG cruiser was awesome. Why not make this a link between the Galaxy and Sovie? The aft of the saucer looks like a mix of both

-Have you put any thought into rebuilding the Century class? Not re-imagining, but just making a v2.0. I'm sure over the years you've picked up some new tricks of the trade and could build a cleaner and more beautiful rendition. Even CG found ways to improve on his Sovereign.

Here are the latest pics. Don't be too hard on the rear end of the ship, it needs significant refinement still.

Farshot--> The thought has crossed my mind before. Though when it really became serious, I made a list of things I would want to do, and the result was the Eclipse Class. With that in mind, the Ent F is a pretty solid mesh. Not as good as what I can do now, but still pretty good. I'm ont planning on redoing it any time soon. Plus my style and method of texturing is much different now. I'd have a hard time staying true to the original.

I refined the back end. Still want to put details in, but or the moment, the basic shape is there. in the previous version, the nacelles sloped upward at the base. I could resolve that along the bottom, so I added a bit more to the dorsal section of the engineer hull by the shuttlebay and then level off he pylon bases. I rebuilt them entirely, but used the basic shape of the old ones.

*edit* I also refined the engineering hull around the under the saucer. I made it more traditional and less bulbous.

Thanks, though I never really went anywhere. I was checking in all summer almost every day, just not posting much. I was posting in the STO thread...

-added some detail to the underside of the saucer.
-finished reworking the aft end of the ship.
-widened the nacelle pylons.
-added bridge area.

I particularly like the last render. As far as positions for beauty shots go, that's a common one, and it looks good from that angle, I think.

I like how you have added cloaking devices to the nacelles, should make it harder to lock on to them so you can still escape. :p

Really though, she looks great in those latest shots.
