So for those who don't know, the Abante, Orion and Velox Classes are all now up at BCFiles for download.

Also, I pulled up an old WIP that I started on about four years ago and decided that it would go well with some parts from the Abante. Some of you might remember it from a thread I posted in early 2009. Pretty different now. I raised the saucer section up and rebuild the lower secondary hull. For a while I had the nacelles from the Vivace on her, but I can't recall if I ever showed that off. The Abante nacelles fit much better anyway, and to make sure they look a part of the same family I reused the bridge module, deflector dish, and torpedo launchers. I also cleaned the mesh up significantly from the original.

like it. Are those side torpedo tubes? Just thought the connections from the saucer to the pylons and the pylons themselves looks too thin to me. Just my opinion.

Nice design DJ. I vaguely remember this one but your changes make it even better.

On another note, has anyone had any problems displaying speculars on the Orion? For some reason they're barely if at all showing up on my install. I also noticed that the sreenshots that DJ put on BCFiles don't "really" show them either. I inspected all the appropriate scripts & tga files and everything seems in order but they're display on screen are extremely dim... weird??

moed: there's a trick to getting speculars to work, nowadays. one of the old bright glow fixes provided with KM kinda knocks the speculars on it's butt.

DJ:i wanna make sure this is me; Velox is showing very slightly misaligned nav lights. since my install tends to derp every now and then, I thought I'd ask first.
this revived model reminds me of an updated Akira

I'm thinking a "rollbar" placed somewhat behind the shuttlebay, would make this an excellent "Akira replacement".

Thats what it is missing! As long as it fits with the nacelle pylons then that would be fine.

Is it all the time that the lights are misaligned? Because it's a simple fact of BC that after MVAM, nav lights are fubar.
