My crappy laptop chipset I'm running right now wont support AA, and it says AF is at 16x but doesn't look like it...

No, those are pictures used as backgrounds. You can add them in Edit mode. Almost all my screenshots use this method.

Start BC in test mode like you would to get a console report, then while flying a ship open it and type "Edit()". From here you can use the object editor and the background editor. Object editor is used for positioning and lighting, while the background editor does exactly what it says...

@deadth.

if you did that, you need to go to graphics in bc and reclick at your gfx card. Could be that there are multiple ones in the selection? Just select the other one and it should be fine.

only thing id say is try and get the whole of the ship in the frame.... not a criticism just a suggestion.

Letting it break frame just a little makes it pop out more. It's not always good to have things perfectly within the frame limits. Love that background, by the way. I take it it was originally two images.
