DQP Closure - Goodbye
« Reply #1685 on: August 16, 2011, 08:50:40 PM »
Indeed they'd been straight away ;)

So it looks like the BC community it confused as a tad then ;)

Well I've been meaning to say this for a while though I didn't think it was the right moment, I've got two ships to texture unless Prime gets back to me then the DQP is complete. A few tweaks here and there and I'll get it released ;)

43 shipsish + 20ish star systems & more than 3 bloody years it's finally done ;)

Huge thanks to Limey, Frontier, Lint, Cordanilus, Kophjaeger, bankruptstudios, WC, Queball & shadowbuilder for all the FCUKing awesome work mesh wise + skill and every beta tester and beyond ;), without them this pack wouldn't be there ;) I'm so glad I've had the opportunity to work with very talented people :D

Unfortunately I'm retiring after this project to work on bigger better things, so as this will be the last project I work on, this will obviously mean JLS will be no more, & I don't mean the shit UK boyband :P Any WIP I've done and not released will be put on bcf, that means any bugs will be have to dealt with the support team.

Limey will still be here overseeing the forum, but I will be elsewhere. The BC community will last for a long while, and I'm "hoping" new modders will join and contribute to take over the original roles of MarkyD and baz ;)

All the best

~Jonny

Why is everyone leaving for bigger better things????  We need to lasso every modder up and glue them to a computer to keep on bringing mods :P.

In all seriousness, I understand JB, and wish you nothing but the best in what you do :)

Happy trails, buddy. JLS was truly terrific...the DQP is a truly fitting send-off to four hard years.

Love every thing. Set no boundaries. And laugh  :D

To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

JB, you have been an inspiration to myself as a modder to try my damnedest to produce quality work, for that i thank you. indeed it is a loss to the community to see such a good man leave, and i agree that the DQP is one hell of a send off, i look foreward to its release so that myself and the rest of us may bask in the glory of all the work you and the team has put into it.

farewell lad, may the wind be at your back, and lady luck at your side!  :drink: :drink2:

That just shows what a team of modders can do. I definitely look forward to the Delta Quadrant Pack. Good luck on your future endeavors and come back and say high once in a while- we'll still be here.

Good luck JB,  :yay:

It was JL Studios which inspired me to release my first mod back in 2009. And although its sad to see you go i'm sure you'll bless your new project (which by the way will be epic) with your great talent :D

See you out there
