Yeah when I said last ship... it's not the last ship in the DQP, its just the last ship I have to texture until limey completes more :P

The fixes on the Rhode will be done in the next 1/2 hour so i'll update you folks then ;)

Right here's the fix on the Rhode & the fully textured new ship, Talaxian fighter which was seen in the Basics episode when the Kazon take over Voyager.

Enjoy

C&C are welcome

Not the best eye catcher the Talaxian fighter is it? Oh well, it still there. Not blaming the work itself, just the people who designed that in the first place. :P

Indeed, It's a very butt ugly design & the textures on it are extremely plain, but hey that's what it was like & also its 50m long so not that large either.

LOL Orange? Me thinks your screen's knacked!

Right adjusted all 3, the deflector might be too blue, so il fix it again once I finish this last ship

~Jb06

I haven't touched the nacelles since then. & if you look in that reference shot, they're more that colour than the original one I made.

Oh. Ok, I'm being a bit stupid then...please forgive my probable slowness.

Report from me on the Rhodie: I really like the detail on this ship. The bluey escape pods certainly give it class and the windows are real nice to.

Conclusion: I'm glad we have JLS around!

  • SPAAAAAAAAACE !!!
one question : wasn't Rhodes Island escape pods teal/blue instead of blue ? I may be wrong but also phasers were somehow reddish on schematics but hey it would look riddiculous ;)

Now it looks awesome :D

I don't like the Talaxian Fighter...I'd shoot it but like...there's holes already in it.

Lol agreed.

The work done looks great but the design is just kinda boring to me. Neelix's shuttle was a much better design in my opinion.

A wee Thing i saw was the Blue glow from the warp nacelles of the rhode island, it actually travels to the back bone of the ship, is there any way to replicate that ?

It was done on the USS Hawk [registry suffix "A"] wherein it had the effect of a "glow" along the spine from both the warp coils and the impulse manifold. It actually looked really good. I THINK the ship is still available on BCF but I'm not certain...

I'm gonna bring it back to the Rhode Island for a sec here. I just checked out the last update (not the most recent but the one God knows how many pages back), and I don't know just in my opinion the older textures seem to jump out a bit more than the new style you're trying out here, JB, which honestly probably wouldn't look bad for a non-Federation ship, but on Federation ships it seems to sacrifice too much detail...see what I'm saying?

Anyways I'm not trying to criticize, but I always here C&C is good for modders so that's what I'm doing.

There isnt a lot of detail on the Rhode Island that's the only problem. i will take the grayscale normal maps off it later and i will see what people think.

As promised here's the Rhode WITHOUT the grayscale normal maps. Compare with the ones above & tell me which version you prefer.

thanks
