Perhaps it's in similar style to the holoship from Insurrection???

Tbh, bad suggestion. The Holoship was as stated "a ship", and as such the entire ship was designed as one large floating holodeck, at a much larger scale than that of a Holodeck "onboard" a starship. Don't think the two share the same design there.

Baz, your new holodeck looks great. Cookie incoming! :P

Yeah I know that they would be vastly different since the deck on the holoship is most probibly like 50x bigger. But that doesn't mean it can't use the same style as it. Hell, the nova class is like 5x small than the sovvie but you can still tell it's a federation ship. The have some similar styles.

You know what I would LOVE to see, Baz, when you're done this? Something we haven't actually seen yet... well, haven't seen done WELL... to my knowledge...

A year of hell voyager interior. This means bridge, corridors, ready room, quarters, maybe engineering and whatever other heavily-damaged rooms you can think of. :D

That would be frieken awesome. I was just watching YOH last night, and thought how cool it would look to see a torpedo lodged into the corridors of a ship on BC.

Lol, so was I (on Bravo?). I suggested a YOH bridge for the DQP. Perhaps JB would be interested if you are willing.

yeah sure, only took us a few years to semi-perfect that one.

In terms of permissions, a year of hell version? sure go for it. Just make sure you give ALL credits (and there are alot on that one going right back to EF1)

At the moment I have several projects on the go. At this time I will say no at this time to the voy build but not never. I don't want to be pigeon holed as the interior guy, and I'm trying to forward my building skill. I appreciate that you guys like my work, it does mean a lot. Also I'm becoming aware that these models are not or can not be used in the game and though the TMP sets were part of a bigger project for me I do not have the time to make other models just to see how they'll come out. If someone can show me a need for the sets in the game I'd happyly build them. I've released the TMP sets over a 2 weeks ago but other than a couple of "hey these are great" no one has come forward to say that they are using them, and the download figures for the bridge alone are over 30+.

Sorry if I sound like a ass, it just I only want to produce something that will bennefit the community in the game play.

No, I perfectly understand where your coming from. In fact I might have a go at YOH bridge (though it'll most probibly be crap). That's if it's ok with 3rd Era?

go for it with the voy bridge, we all start somewhere and you'll find that once you have the basics done the rest falls into place quickly and well. The only advice I'd say is save often because if your make a change it quicker to reload than undo do twicks.

Good luck and look forward to seeing your work.

Thanks, so far i've only done a little but I think what i've done looks ok but I remember someone saying that bridges should ideally be under 20k polys. I've only added a couple of low poly pieces of debris and it's already gone from 18k to 21k. Is there anyway to lower the poly count at when i've finished?

I done some more (baz, hope you don't mind me posting an image in your thread. I'll create a wip once i've done a bit more, I just wanted some feedback). Instead of just moddeling the bridge on the last couple of scenes, i'm going alone with the episode. This is the bridge on day 32 and is currently at 24k polys. I've also done day 5. The bridge I started with was 3rd era's Intrepid.

no I don't mind you posting here. As for the poly count I'd rely on the texturing to show the main damage and keep the debris to min.

To show the damage just edit the model as is rather than add to it (move, scale and rotated the polys). if you are showing a damaged panel the can not be edited remove the bits to be damaged and add the new parts. Hopefully these tips will keep the count down for you.

Thanks Baz, my goal is to keep it below 25k. Anyway, i've finished moddeling day 65. I'm gonna start a WIP now.

This is lookin' good! I've always wanted to walk around a ship, not just the bridge. For a moment I thought your corridors were jeffries tubes until I hit myself realising that they weren't jeffries tubes but corridors with some incorrect colours (probably because this is just the construction part of this interior?).
