Try *768 and make sure your are using a Program like Notepad++ to edit the file.

I tried 768 last night and it worked! The text looks kinda, I dunno, jaggy?

But, you can't have everything, I guess. Thanks!

(Next up, I'm going to ask what the hell all those installations of BC you have are for)
It mostlikely is BC kicking you down to 640 UI.
I still can't read peoples minds, nor can I read peoples computers, even worse, I can't combine the two to read what is going wrong with your BC install...

There are none, except just to live with it. BC was never designed to run in widescreen.

Are you sure you're addressing the same thing MLeo was? :P

Yes

So you're saying that you're playing it in 640, but in widescreen? Do you find it to be worth the tradeoff, especially since we're using (ostensibly) modded models?

It's todo with the fact that BC was only designed for a handfull of resolutions, of which the width is the important one for the UI.

There is one thing you may try in the console, and that's the following:

Code: [Select]
App.g_kIconManager.SetScreenWidth(1600)And see what happens.
I still can't read peoples minds, nor can I read peoples computers, even worse, I can't combine the two to read what is going wrong with your BC install...

How do you get to the console? The "`" key, like in Valve games? Imma search around, but if anybody has a second to answer that would be cool too.

You are correct.

It doesn't seem to be working. Where/when do I need to do it?

Oh, on another subject, in the options.cfg, I saw:
Code: [Select]
Number of Lights|8
I assume I should change that to 4?

I have never changed the option you have listed. Also, to access the console, you must run the game in test mode (see sticky.)

Which sticky? I think I checked them all.

Hey guys! I'm loving the game, but I have a little problem. I don't know if it's related to the mod, but I've checked the BC Faq and it says:

Quote
You are to warp to Omega Draconis and take out the tachyon emitters, then
attempt to contact the Kessok government.
-Once you have chosen your two teammates and have finished talking to
everybody,
Kiska will target Omega Draconis, so Warp there.
-You'll find five Keldons and a Tachyon Emitter. Take out the Keldons, then
destroy the Tachyon Emitter.

Well, the Geronimo got destroyed, so there's no teammate picking, and when I get to Omega Draconis, there are SIXTEEN Keldons, not five.

Kinda odd, does the console say anything when you are at that point?

Normally, difficulty is translated as stronger/tougher enemies.

This is the part where I admit that I tried to follow the instructions above, but never actually got the console working, and am playing with a UI in 486-O-Vision.

486-O-Vision.
What now?

As for the console just open the properties of the shortcut and make sure the path looks like "YourGamePath" -TestMode
