So, since that detail was merely experimentation, I seriously doubt we'll be seeing it on the final product... rather, you will, just not in such quantity... and what I'll be doing will be entirely hand-crafted. So a couple questions come up in my mind. First, should I make this as a high-poly BC model, similar to the Tau'Ri ships that JL Studios are working on? And second, attatched is an image of the ship this is largely based on: the Kol Battleship as seen in Sins Of a Solar Empire. [take that, the Sulaco from Aliens, and the Battlestar Galactica, and you've got a combo of design elements I'm trying to incorporate into this project.] Can you see any little things in there you think I should incorporate?Or does anyone have any original ideas? Of course, I have my own thoughts on what I'm going to do. I just wanted to see what other's opinions might be. :P That and I wanted an excuse to post that pretty boy here for all to see.

Well, I've lost the original Rashanar mesh and I've had to start over from scratch. I believe, though, that I've done a much better job this time around. Having no poly limitations really gives me the chance to play with Max and try out different things, and I've gotten a plethora of ideas for the Mithra through this. Also, I've been playing with lighting and the environment settings, and a camera... ANY helpful hints or suggestions for my renderings and the mesh itself are greatly appreciated! :D thanks a lot!

So the first pic is of the bow... I have no clue how large this is gonna be, yet, but it was suggested that this could be an automated gun on a much larger ship. Cool idea, only thing is it's sitting at just over 112,000 polies already and my PC isn't loving me too much, haha :P. Second pic is from the view of an observation room I'm working on on the underside of the central main batteries. Makes the ship look rather colossal, eh? :P I'll be adding furnature and doors, etc. in there at some point. [I do want to do fully-furnished rooms viewable through the viewports on this one... I'm thinking a cross between BSG style and Federation... could change my mind later though...

OH! I also need to know how I should go about making lights for the hull, to display the registry and name and so on... and also, particularly, how I should go about making lights to illuminate the interriors of rooms? That part, in particular, is bothering me... thanks!

And a shot of the "now-main-command-deck." I'm not entirely sure how, exactly, I want to furnish it...

I re-worked the command deck a while ago, but I hadn't gotten around to posting anything of it, so here you guys go. ;) Many thanks to Kirk for sending me the render that I'd forgotten to back up before selling my PC.

LOL. Yeah that is a hologram projector. I found a tutorial on how to make holographic projections so when I get a pc again I'll be working on that.

A portion to my project... I'm not sure if I'll use the old command deck as seen above or rebuild that entire set... I think I'll rebuild it, as I have a billion amazing ideas and I've gotten far better at this in recent months.

I give you a corridor/relay... of some sort. xD I'm basing this largely off of the Pluto Station by Tobias as seen on Scifi-Meshes.com. I'm thinking this'll wind up being a small-scale station of some sort... not certain what yet, exactly, but I'm pretty sure I'll make it either from the NX-era or TMP... I have no clue yet to be honest.

Anywho, pics. I know not many people even glance at the graphic arts forum here but maybe some of you will have some ideas or input. :]
