Great textures. EAS has some pics, though I assume you checked them already.

IIRC, it -was- a replacement for the Oberth, but I could be wrong.

The class replacing the Oberth is the Nova.

BTW, first Gundam, now Kiva? You get more and more awesome with every post lol

...Probably not, but the number I get(379.6m) could be considered ?original intent,? a term that I think I will be using from now on, and ?canon? be damned.

For one, we're talking about alternate time line when the Galaxy Class Enterprise-D was still in service, during this time line there could be no Nova Class starship and the Olympic could of been a Multi-Role vessel.

Ok.. so i have made a little more progress with the texures, these coloured areas as you see will be aztec'd to show a greater level of detail at some point.
I also adjusted the impulse engines a little more.

Thanks fellas.

in all honesty, up until now, i was never so fond of that ship and never really bothered including it in my installs... but seeing this unfold, i definitely will be including it :)

Oops, I forgot about that. Still, the registry is 5000-something, so it's in the range used during TNG's run. I'd say it's a real ship, but one of those we never saw on screen.

Thanks fellas, i have been playing with the textures, spent a fair few hours on detailing some new muticoloured aztecs to the dome, and pylons..  Im quite happy with how it turned out, and as such this is how the underside of the seconday will also look.

Thanks.

Thanks mate.

So the more I get back to the textures, the more i just seem to delete entire layers as im not happy... currently, its looking nicer, trying to keep cannon areas cannon with adding in some detail, which will become more apparent when i shade in more aztecting and create the spec maps.

Thanks again, time to sleep  :o

Markyd, they should redo that TNG Episode and use your model for the ship.

Sorry for the huge delay in any posts on this, I have been away the past few weeks on military training excercises in shropshire, where we had to find potential SAS soldiers over a 70 mile area, it was cold, wet and a huge amount of work but it was a brilliant experiance for my company.

Now back to it, i have the whole weekend free so should manage to get quite allot done i think, thanks for all your patience and thanks for the motm award  :)

I'll post some progress shots later, thanks guys.

Lol... you would be suprised how much the locals in the shropshire county helped out, the ex area was furthest east craven arms, furthest noth newtown and furthest west builth wells, so plenty of local villages etc to trample in and ask if they had seen anything... for those of you who dont know, the SAS are the British Army elite, the Special Air Service and are undoubtedly the best fighiting forces in the world, and we had the privelage as an infantry battalion of trying to capture their latest recruits over the 70 mile area mentioned above..

out of 16, we caught 0 over a 2 week period...  but we did catch some pathfinders and sas signallers, 10 in total lol... ( when they get caught.... ouch, and not by us... we catch em, bring them back to our camp which was a couple of tents in a field, then hand them over to the SAS guys there... then they get beat, tortured, soaked, abused and after 5 hours thrown out of a vehicle back in the fields to carry on)  anyway back on topic  :)

textures are fitting together slowly, pylons going to be changed again, but im adding the strips of phasers next.
