Looks real nice mate, good job
Thank you. :) I added some extra phaser emitters, and a new deflector dish.  I also rendered up some orthos of my JJ Enterprise_v2 (or version 3 according to my WIPs). Enjoy!

I thought it was the v3? You said it enough to get it stuck in my head. :P

And the P-Ambie looks awesome.

For downloadable ship versions, it is version 2 (when it is actually the version 3 buildup). I could add some nacelle grille details, since I am below 15k polys.

Nacelle grilles are lines or segments that compose the outer covering for the blue section of a warp engine. Same thing could be said for a defector dish.

Did I mention before that it looked like something PDW? I think I did but can't remember...

Post Dominion War.  And I agree with him.

Also, nice orthos on the Enterprise. :D

EDIT: From behind, the Enterprise's warp engine fins look like horns.  "Is there anyone on this ship who even remotely resembles Satan?"  "I'm not aware of anyone matching that description Captain."  "I didn't think so Mr.Spock."

This is what I have whipped up for texturing the Proto-Ambassador. I haven't added the escape pods yet. I'm thinking of the way how the Excelsior uses it's escape pods and how none of them are exposed on the ship.  Enjoy! :)

That's pretty awesome!

As for escape pods, how about using something similar to the Galaxy class's rapid egress hatch for the main shuttlebay?
It'll look like regular hull plating that ejects, revealing a bunch of escape pods.  You can arrange them in clusters around the ship, hidden under the panels.
I'm just talking concept wise, not actual modeling.  But I suppose you could use MVAM to maybe open the egress doors, then launch the escape pods using abandon ship.

I would have hidden escape pods, cause if you look at the regular Ambassador, do the escape pods show?

That would be a yes.

Galaxy and Ambassador escape pods aren't that interesting. Maybe you could make a mix with your own creative flair?

I liked how they did the Defiant's escape pods, having them under hatches in the hull, maybe you could do something like that Wiley?  The preliminary textures look nice.

Is it just me, or does the main phaser array look a little thick.

I posted the JJprise V3 on BCfiles last night, and it hasn't been posted on the main site. I guess we will all have to be patient.
