Well it's been a while, about 3 months since an update. I've had a very busy school year, and still do.
2 ships I have been working on- Proteus and Enterprise-D.

Proteus- I'm currently hardpointing and I only need help with adding phasers. I can easily do everything else. Please PM me if you want to help me with hardpointing (must have a computer that can handle 2048 pixel-res textures).

Enterprise-D- Still texturing. Saucer is 90% done, stardrive is 50% done. I might be able to get it done for Christmas.

I wish I could HP Wiley, or I'd help. Though, I had to run back a few pages to refresh my memory about the Proteus. Can't wait to see that baby.

well... i could, if i wouldnt be a lazy poop... when i do things, i do them right. but that takes waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much time. i always forget my mods... since my FC sovy went into oblivion, i never even modded one thing. and thats ... well... since i installed windows 7.

Um, yes. Curved phaser arcs are very tricky to create so they work correctly ingame. My phasers seem to fire from inside the ship, though the arc is correctly in place. TMP phaser emitters were easier to add.

I'm an expert on some things, but a noob in others.

I think that's what Aeries meant. Of course, the Proteus looks a lot smoother and less beefy.......and a lot more complete. lol

you may also want to look at the HP on the Prometheus and Voyager as they have similar phaser arcs. and it may help with setting up the Proteus

i would also recommend getting in touch with Elminster... he goes by El nowadays and can also be found on Excalibur forums here - he is a master hardpointer for BC and if anyone can help you, he can most certainly

i thought there was a thread around somewhere where he explains how to do curved phasers for hardpoints, but it might have been at BCU...

I've been trying that, but no luck. They are correctly lined up where they should fire from, but whenever I try to tweak the size of the aiming-cone it screws up the position firing from the mesh object. If that makes sense.

I'll contact Elminster as a last resort. I'd rather like to learn on my own or with a helpful tutorial so I will not have to ask other people for help.
