I'm working on the Proto-Ambassador again. This time, I'm adding extra colors to the hull plating to simulate a TMP/TNG effect. I've also included a small texture sample showing the colors I have used. It's very subtle, but the speculars will enhance the effect.

Wow!  My all time favorite ship...and you are definitely doing it great justice...going by the new screenshot, I can say without a doubt that your model of this ship is right up there with Tobias Richter's model over at "the Light works"!!!  Outstanding!   Cookie for you for returning your attention to this piece of art!!

Just a small thing is the bottom of the stardrive the final unwrap as looks a tad wonky.

I can personally verfiy that part of the ship is a bitch to get straight (even on mine it is a little wonky in places).

Nice dude... although I have to say that the deflector may be correct to the original source but it's somewhat... bland looking.
I'm not quite done with that area yet.

Yea, it gets bad in a few places, but it is getting fixed.

Still, outstanding work.
Actually, I love the deflector like that.

Great, brilliant, fantastic work, Wiley!

Well, we already have two canon Melbournes, why not a third when TNG HD hits? Let's lobby Drexler and Okuda!

Klingon Academy now works on XP/Vista/Win 7 thanks to one dude's patches, click here for details. I highly recommend it!

I'm now texturing the nacelles, then I'll add the lit windows and other miscellaneous details to the rest of the ship. Enjoy!

Very nice Wiley.  My favorite parts are the nacelles, specifically the bumpage on the blue tops.

Good eye!  I forget to look back at the first page a lot.

Wiley, feel free to give it your own spin a bit!  I'm looking forward to the first pics.

It's ingame, and now all that is left to do is tweak the hardpoint, add blinkers and create the Enterprise registry.
