One variant I have had in my mind for years is a Sovereign class pathfinder type ship. It would have Sovereign escape pods, similar hull colourings, and in place of her own captain's yacht it has a sovereign style yacht and quantum launcher.

It was said that the Pegasus tested systems for the Galaxy class, so this would be a more logical ship to test systems for the Sovereign

Quality wise this looks fantastic, tho I never was AGT Enterprise fan

maybe if they didn't go crazy with those funky fins all over the ship and instead put only that third nacelle and a bad-ass cannon i would like it more

highly unlikely ;) Pegasus was small scout/science vessel with minimal crew, Galaxy class is luxurious, crew+family faring explorer, dunno about Starfleet R&D but I would not put all those folks in such valuable ship to risk riding ship with experimental / dangerous tech

just look at poor Pegasus

I think he means just the technologies, and ship components. when the episode was being drafted, the ship model was intended to be a ambassador like nebula class, but budgetary requirements defaulted the ship to the readily available oberth class.

Ok guys, I think we are getting a bit off topic here.

Possible variants for the Galaxy-X:
Venture Refit: self explanatory.
Heavy Refit: Everything included but the middle pylon and nacelles.
Science: Everything included, switch out middle nacelle for Nebula weapon's pod. (variant may just include middle pylon and weapon's pod only)

I think that will be it for variants.
