I'm sorry to add one more small nitpick...the blue impulse engines...shouldn't they be red or orange? I'm not that worried about though the ship looks great regardless.
Nope. I just re-watched the 2nd hd trailer and while they are more of a very light blue then on Wileys model, they are most definatly not supposed to be red or orange.
Looks excellent. I only have a couple of nitpicks that you can ignore at your leisure. Razz The registry. It's the right font, but the U.S.S. Enterprise is curving the wrong way. It should be curving towards the bridge, not the saucer edge. But as I said, this is a small thing and doesn't detract from what is a gorgeous work of art. To quote a certain actor who once played a certain starship captain, "she is ship-shape." Very Happy
Again, not quite right. I rewatched the first trailer in HD and while true the registery isn't curving towards the saucer, because of the way the saucer is made, and the angle at which it is seen, it looks like the 'U.S.S Enterprise' part is curving towards the bridge, when infact it is not curving at all. It is dead straight. The actual number part is also mean't to be closer to the edge of the saucer, like on the Kelvin, or the Kelvin-prise, lol.
I was going to suggest the same things to Wiley, but he seemed so happy with the final result *I am too aswell, lol* it wouldn't have been polite to criticize.
Please ignore the crudity of the schematic picture or the fact that it has the wrong registery or the fact that it isn't the jj prise, but since there is no top down view of the jj prise, and the fact that I am limited to using MSPaint to change the picture (didn't use the correct number because MSPaint doesnt do curved text, lol) I had to use a TMP era Connie schematic to illistraite my point.
Its very hard to find a top down view of any of the various versions of the Constitution Class, lol.
You can sort of tell how close the number bit is to the edge of the saucer section in the hd picture I attached.
