I think he works this fast, that and he doesn't show us everything going on behind the scenes. :P

Interior of the spacedock looks fabulous, good going. :)

Oh, and quick byte of info for the JJ-Prise's HP, in the Super Bowl commercial, she is seen firing red phaser bursts and it seems that all of the ventral phasers are capable of firing forward.

You're going to even out those spotlights eventually, right?

Yes, I still am working on the spotlights until I get them just right.  Thanks for the heads up on the trailer-- no need for reference pics here- post them in the Trek XI thread where they belong.

I know Wiley, I've been around long enough to have figured that out :P

Again, good work on all of this so far and good luck getting things like the ginormous spacedock competed.

For this version, I wouldn't say ginormous, because this one is scaled to fit most TMP ships.  A P81 Excelsior is shown here for size comparison.  A large spacedock of the same configuration would fit TNG ships.  The doors on on this version are large enough for an Ambassador class.

Are those colors canon?  They look weird: red and blue?

Looking good to me. :)

An Ambassador, eh?  Well, in that case, a good portion of modern Starfleet ships could still squeeze in, but if it's a Galaxy-class or wider....ever seen Galaxy Quest? :P

Don't get me started, and don't request ships.  They will come eventually.

It wasn't a request, I was making a little joke that if a Galaxy-class tried to enter your spacedock it would grind its hull on the doors, ala. the Protector.  :?

Just now, I realized I forgot to add some extra noticeable lights to the docking bay wings.

EDIT- I added the long window band above the Excelsior.

I believe the red and blue lights come from Spacedock's reputed burlesque club.  Good job.

Thats what transporters are for, LMAO .

Basically, I guess what Shadowknight1 was trying to figure out was, that you said it was big enough for the Ambassadors saucer setion to go through. That being said, wouldn't it have been better to make it big enough so that something as big as a Galaxy class would fit through with ease?
Can't wait for 2014 to start.

As stupid as this sounds, thats the wrong kind of red.
"To live on as we have is to leave behind joy, and love, and companionship, because we know it to be transitory, of the moment. We know it will turn to ash. Only those whose lives are brief can imagine that love is eternal. You should embrace that remarkable illusion. It may be the greatest gift your race has ever received."

In ST:3, when the Enterprise is entering and leaving the dock, you can obviously tell that the doors would be too small for a galaxy class.

I realise the size of the starbase make the textures a dilemma, not only to draw but in memory usage if you wanted it to look really great, what size have you decided to go with
