Consortium Series Texturer Needed Please
« on: October 07, 2008, 07:35:01 PM »
Its just a simple bridge module for now. Im not even sure what this era this is gonna be for...

If you play EAW:FOC then you know where the inspiration for the name came from. :)
All hail the messiah!

I have no idea but it shows up either as a wireframe or a dark ring on textured, shaded and solid modes when I set it to smooth aswell as in textured mode when I set it to solid.

Nice, looks like it could be the bridge module of a TOS Vessel.

perhaps something older, like around the time of the burke and TAS bonaventure, they had more pronounced bridge domes. Or it just could be something from rosewell...
I just realised something. I've released over 300 fully modded ships for bridge commander. Bow to your master :D

Yeah, I think thats the direction im gonna head towards. Would two cylinders with a height of 0.001 to make the top and bottom of the saucer sound about right to you guys? Or what?

It's just about irrelevant what WE think. I say, go at it, long and hard, and see what comes of it. The most important perspective is your own. That's it. I can't stress that enough. :]

Ok so that idea didn't work. So, I used the same method I used to create the bridge to do the top of the saucer.

EDIT:Last pics for the night.

This ship will also be finding its way into Armada and Legacy aswell so it can't be to heavy on the polys for Armada but will hopefully look decent enough for BC and Legacy.

What I've done today:
added turbolift behind bridge
added impulse assembly
added that thing to which I don't know the name of lol on the dorsal aft of the saucer(when you enlarge the second pic in this post you'll know what I mean)
removed doubles from everything

What I will be doing tonite:
fixing the top and bottom edge of the saucer

For the most part i've got a finished product in my head...just got to get there. For instance the neck will have a pair of photon tubes but will be stacked instead of side by side and the pylons will start under the impulse deck and extend out and downward and ressembly the wings of like a 747 or a C-17 with the stabilizer fins(why not? lol :arms:). Therefore the naccels will be mounted on the bottom of the pylons. The engineering section will basically be the connie's top half and then be doubled and flipped upside down(did that make any since?).
All hail the messiah!

well my immediate suggestion is to increase the scale of your turbolift shaft attached to the bridge. its current size makes that bridge module seem very large for that era. other than that, will be glad to see more

Is this your first Blender model? Independent from that it looks good, even though I need to get used to the design

Yeah, I noticed thats one of the few minor adjustments I will be making tonite before getting to the neck.

Yes this is my first real model post the various tutorials.

Soon I will post a few drawings of what th final design should look like.

Here is the neck. Im debating wether its going to have three tubes fore and aft or two...

And yes I know its all about what I think since im the one doing this but still I need your input on this matter.

About 24 hours from now you will have pics of the "wings".
