..although the dome might be an issue for tall races...

Or for anyone remotely over 6'.
Love this. Smoothing it out made all the difference. I LOVE how it looks like a galaxy, but TMP style! :D

I was wondering what class of ship this bridge should be used for?

Bare in mind I'm a fan of the canon old school ships (tmp era) so I'm not up on all the TNG,DS9 or VOY ships.

So if you have an idea please post a picture and we'll take a vote on it. I will then texture to suit.

over to you guys.

P.S any body volunteer to convert from max format to work in the game?

You could always use it for the Gagarin Class, which was a nice late TMP "Lost Era" type ship.

I've decided to go another route and will use my connie project to make a TNG era connie exterior to go with this bridge.

Master Systems Display, which basically is a cutout side view of the ship with all the decks and such.

Ah, well I just thought that was part of the LCARS. Since there is a ship to go with the bridge there will be a cut away display on the back wall.

As stated earlier the LCARS will not be canon but of my own design (but if somebody comes up with any I'd take them).

Like wise still looking for some one to aid converting the model for the game.

i know i mentioned it before, but what about all the animating, scripting, lightmapping, etc?
will this really wind up in BC?  of course, i hope it does...  but we've seen so many models of bridges throughout the years only stay at that...   models...

Well I hope to see the bridge and the ship in the game but I need a partner who has done all that. I'd hand over the ship and bridge lit and textured. But would not know where to start in the scripting animating crew ect.

So I put it out there is you want this in the game I can only get it so far on my own.

The scripting is pretty easy. I managed to get an animation ingame without much trouble. The hardest part for me is the lightmapping.

perhaps, when the time comes, you could give a shot at animating the characters?  personally, i always wished i could learn about the animating aspect of bridges...
i could possibly work with you on the lightmapping - since we're both kinda noobish at it lol :)
