Another Romulan Warbird Underconstruction
« on: November 17, 2008, 04:52:47 PM »
Here is another of Atolm's Romulan creations being brought to life. The textures are temporary at this point but the mesh is mostly done.

Oh wow, that's a warbird indeed.
Even for temporary textures, it's pretty good.
Even though it looks really cool, I kinda wonder where's everything located though.
I mean I think I see the warp drives in the wings?
Meh anyway really cool.

Not bad but it reminds me of a Mardi Gras mask in one of the pics... :D

She's at some 11,000 polys at the moment...yiks.   So much for low poly modeling.

Anybody good at texturing...I hate that part.

Can't wait to beat up some cardies with a pair of these. :dance

Remember, every model he's done(up until a few months ago) was made strictly just for Armada 1 so, 11k polies is VERY high for him.

I've lost Atolm's site, I can't seem to find it now.
All hail the messiah!

I'd like to add, that modelling high polygon ships is fairly easy.

Modelling ships that look high quality, with less polygons... thats hard.

I don't think the site that had Atolm designs is up anymore (apparently it wasn't his site).  He hangs out over at Demon Renegade Studios and can also be found over at dynaverse.net.

I'm glad I saw these images. It elaborates upon expanding BC beyond starships. Wouldn't
it be awesome if we had some Transformers jets or Macross for BC?
