Well done with this Luna! It's about time we get a high-quality model of her! Must have been a real c*nt, too, to model the secondary hull? I tried modeling the Luna once, and failed epically with the secondary hull.  :P

Just build the secondary hull really basic to just get the overall shape. Use the 'Connect' option under 'Edit Edges' to add extra verticies. Extrude shapes if you want, weld verticies, etc.

UPDATE:  (I actually erased what I had originally said instead, this was meant to bump with an update )

I've got just about all of the registries fininshed...The hardest part was keeping up with the names LOL Good thing I got them all saved :).

Now hopefully Starforce wil have enough time to work on the HP on his off time (No rush bud).

yea I already got the prelim done on the plane for mackies minow and a furswift excel so the luna is up next. basicly we are getting paid to twittle our thumbs because the company didn't fwd legal paperwork ahead of us and they are taking the info but don't know who to give it to out here lol..gotta love it..oh yea and something about some storm named Irene heading right for us. Anyways, Phasers are easy but sov styled saucers aren't fun but my best guess is, without having actualy looked at it yet, one good afternoon ought to do it. I plan on getting plenty of modding done while I am here. Getting it uploaded before irene sucks up all the internet around here..er..no promises.
I just realised something. I've released over 300 fully modded ships for bridge commander. Bow to your master :D

Yeah, hope everything turns out alright for you over there (or UP there considering I'm in NC).  Like I said no rush.  Safety is always first!

Ok, I've thought about using JB and Cord's Glow tutorial...

My question is.  the Lightmaps.  do they have to have the registry of every ship??? Or will they be alright without them!?!

Well if you are only wanting to put glows on the nacelles and they are on a separate map, you can do the regs the usual way with alphas

Actually no, I was wanting to put glows on the deflector also, but those glows are on the captain's skiff (which that texture is on the saucer) and secondary hull.  BUT!!!  I think I have an idea on that considering on the 3d mesh that Ellery made the registry texture basically has two spotlights directly on the registry like the JJ Prise.   That would also mean I'd have to get rid of the spotlights on the secondary hull (Or...maybe not!!!)!

EDIT:  THis might make for a good artistic licensing...considering I'd have to change the spotlights on the underside of the saucer...they wouldn't match Ellery's model at all
