well I've added the last couple of sections of escape pods, and have started working on more of the details on the darker areas, to make them a bit more appropriate.  Once I get them finished, I'll merge those layers and move on to the Windows.  Now, I've seen people redo the CG Sovereign windows to an almost purplish hue...but I think I may add some whites to this as well as some dull-yellows...make it a bit more accurate.  Does anyone object?

Well since this is the First Contact Enterprise-E, I say make the windows shades of blue.  Do what you want, and experiment with different colors, and post pictures. :)

Question:  Are these brand new textures or are they being adapted from the CG Sov?

Both...I've used some elements from the CG Sovereign on there (escape pods, and certain bridge areas (And credits are given ;)) But I'm also doing a lot of this from scratch using the original Hawkeye sovereign textures as my basis. :)

I'm using the original texture as the background and tracing on the layers that are needed.  If you'd like I could post JPG's of what I've done mainly because I have a hard time explaining myself LOL. :)

New aztecs look good, but I should warn you of something... when I did the CG Sov, I thing I did the aztec patterns on several sections completely separately... especially the inner raised area.  I think I pieced it together to get the awkward oval pattern to it.  Don't know if you want to try it, but it'd make the paneling line up with the saucer contours.

another question....are those phaser strips mere placeholders until you do the all the strips? or is that the final texture for those? Just curious...

Final texture, they're adapted on the topmap2_glow texture from the CG sovereign, You can't really tell it, but they've got the little "rib" to it like the CG1.0.  Then again, the speculars are on and they do kinda take that away LOL

Roger

EDIT:  CG:  Thanks, that's actually what I'm considering doing with it, I think I've figured out how I can achieve that using Photoshop, it'll take a bit of time though lol.

Glenn, I haven't really done anything with the aztec...just added a few other things LOL.  I plan on updating this in the near future :)

I've started on the Engine Maps (as I've stated earlier, I get bored trying to work on one, and go to the next LOL.) I'll have photos up as soon as I'm home again (which should be wednesday.)

I love what you're doing here.  Always wanted an FC Sovereign...

Anyway, I was wondering if you found someone to do the HP yet.  If you haven't, I've spent lots of time with the CG Sovereign in MPE, and I would be more than happy to do it for you.

Actually I'm using the same HP as the 1.0.  P$YCHO did them a while back, but the only thing I'm gonna do is take off some torpedo tubes that weren't on the FC.  But thank you anyways for the offer :).

OK, just wanted to be sure everything was taken care of.

About the textures:
The ship looks great so far...but
I noticed that in FC, the Enterprise's dorsal engineering armor has no space between the plates, as the attached pic shows.
Good Luck, eclipse! :)

That's...not entirely accurate.  It's the photo that's making it look that way.  Trust me the way I've got it is cannon :)
