I think there actually are dual fire tubes in the back, they're right at the base of the "scoop" in the hull, where the Galaxy has a tractor emitter.  I don't have access to any pics at the moment, but I think that little box has two tubes.

Actually though, I'd need to watch Insurrection for that one..I think that's the only time we see the FC style Sov firing rear torps.

I know in Nemesis, there are several rear torps.. two above the bridge, one above the rear shuttle bay, one under the shuttle bay... and on the CG Sov, I put in the two at the bottom of the hull.  At the time I was building it, everyone was more concerned with the forward weapons, so I think those didn't get scrutinized much..now that I think of it, I'm not sure I've ever seen confirmation of those two.

Well, as a few people already know in case some didn't get to read my last post before they restored BCC.  My grandmother passed away Monday, but I had been a bit in the dumps with it beforehand because i knew it was coming.  On top of other things (Exams, and girlfriend who doesn't like star trek :() I haven't had much time to update.  I'm working on the original model right now as well as another project...Then I'll be working on my continental class again (that's if I can learn my way around Max 8...I'm getting better at applying the original textures onto models every time I import an .nif into max, but I wanna learn more).  Right now though with this, I'm working on making ID maps for this booger, and I plan on working more on the re-texturing part :).

Almost finished mapping the registry textures onto the ship...but I have to fix the nacelles now LOL.  Where I create the ID's on the nacelles it's kinda warped the textures.  So as soon as I fix that I'll post pics :)

UGH LOL I'm gonna have to remap the saucer and nacelle ID's lol....forgot to save the last batch, but nothing I can't handle :)

Anyways though, here's a few update pics...I AM using CG's 1.0 ID_glow texture which is slightly modified (and will be modified again to include a new forward window on the bottom saucer, close to the Yacht/quantum launcher).  I've basically taken unneccessary parts out that I'll texture in using the bottom Saucer texture, and added two more nacelle ID Textures (which will also be modified to include RCS Thrusters) so that I can add spotlight glows to the inside of the nacelle (they weren't present on the outside).  I've mapped the secondary hull ID maps (close to the nacelles not the shuttle bay, have yet to map that.)  CG, again Thanks!

Hey folks, I'm just curious to know if anyone would be interested in testing the model out once i get her id map's...well...mapped?  I wanna see how she handle's on different install's.  THIS IS NOT A BETA TEST YET.  I just wanna see how the updated model damages in game on different installs.  (out of my own curiosity)

Anyone willing to participate (that includes you CG if you're willing ;)) can contact me via PM, or email @ eclipse74569@yahoo.com.

Thnx,
Roger

Well I'm having to redo the entire ID maps for the simple fact that they refuse to line up with the original model, so what i'm doing is taking a copy of the original model I've had for quite some time, deleting everything around the ID maps, re-maping them for the ID Map above, grouping, and merging them with the entire mesh to complete this bugger.  I may make a ID map from the original hawkeye texture to be a placeholder for the modified CG 1.0 version till I complete the retexture of the ship.  I've had one offer on the damaging testing for the model.  Anyone else feel free to send me a line!

Edit:  excuse me I made a mistake when I said one person, I got an email.  So two damaging testers :).

Small Update, I've managed to get the saucer and one side of a nacelle done LOL as far as mapping...I plan on doing the rest sometime next week :)

EDIT:  And before anyone points it out yes I know the nacelle itself needs a touchup as far as the pendant being a bit squished.  I'm working on remapping it LOL.  :)

She looks pretty good in the renders, and she hasn't even got complete speculars yet!

This is shaping up to look very nice.

You can thank CG for the renders LOL if not for him the what I like to call "ID project" wouldn't be underway :).  It's his ship, so a lot of credit goes to him :)

(reminder...this is not the CG1.0, rather the one he did prior to 1.0)

How about a little Enterprise :D

Forgive the blurriness, It'd be sharper, but I resized the .tga to 1024X1024.

Registries will be done in the manner that Scotchy did his galaxy registries :).

Not bad at all, I like what you've done both with the regs and the nacelles. Those nacelle grilles look excellent!!   :D

Looks good. But don't forget the spotlights on the very front of the pennants as well. The ship has them in FC and INS but in Nemesis.

I haven't forgotten anything, I just need to texture it in when I make the Nacelle Textures.  The ID mapping is about 75% done I have the secondary hull to worry about now :).  Afterwards it's back to textures LOL
