Looking great, is it going to have the JJPrise effect and only have nacelles online when in warp?

A little more, hoping to get the majority of the textures tied up this weekend, so I can learn the conversion process.

Those windows are TINY, I hope those aren't the windows actually lol cause the size of the bridge module is huge...

The idea is tiny port holes, like on the NX

But looking at it, they do need to be bigger.

I'm going to assume that this is smaller than a TOS Connie. So I imagine that the portholes would be less but bigger.

Well, that depends; Enterprise's portholes were real small to begin with. The size of the bridge itself, then, isn't an issue. Take a peak at the attatched turboshaft module at the back of the bridge, and compare that to the portholes... looks fine to me. Though the big bulbous thing the bridge is mounted on could be a llittle overkill. idk for sure, though.

For the sake of the era that you are following with this ship, port holes are good. Like you said though, they could be a little bigger and not have so many of them. You also want to be sure that you don't put them were they wouldn't make sense though.

Also, hope this gets a really awesome bussard texture. Are you going with animated bussard textures or a still texture?
Can't wait for 2014 to start.

I agree too many windows and ya cant have them on the dorsal saucer just redo the windows but this time only apply them to surface areas that  run sorta vertical not horisontal like on the dorsal saucer surface

Thanks fellas, I will take all this into consideration :)

Also, hope this gets a really awesome bussard texture. Are you going with animated bussard textures or a still texture?

I am leaving the bussards until last, as Im unsure how i want them, they definately WONT be NX-01 styled as that would be lazy, i want a tos come jj enterprise mechanical feel, so im open to suggestions, and I want them to be animated.

You guys were all correct on the window size, it seems to look much better now..

Im happy with the windows on the Dorsal saucer, who says you cant have celing port holes lol.

But seriously thanks for all the pointers, it helps. going to look at the bussards next. deflector will be kelvin styled i think.

Is there an incline on the front edge of the saucer? Cos it'll be pointless to have portholes on the roof.

Why is it pointless??

I just has this discussion with Dawg on MSN and I still stand by the fact that I dont think its pointless to have windows roof based, And the portholes are NX based, and the NX had portholes on the roof. Either way I wont be changing that any time soon, as I have moved on.  :) But will still keep it in mind  :D

I'm just thinking its pointless or not a good idea because:
a) A stray shot may blow them out and be a liability for hull breaches
b) I believe in the 23rd Century they had lights
c) It would strain peoples necks when looking up :P

I know you're not changing it but thats why I wouldn't put them there lol. :D

This little thing is just plain neat, and surprisingly seems to be able to fit in any era.  Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if this type ship was still in service in the 24th century. :)

Sweet ship, the thing I want to see is a couple variants of this. One being an NX-01 texture styled version with some NX Features, then the silver version you have now and a white connie styled version :P
