How many polies is it at the moment?

It shouldn't stick out like a Connie. The neck has to reach the edge of the the engineering section, the deflector should be housed inside the engineering hull and the engineering hull made bigger. Thats sort of defines the Excel in general.

Need I point you to the Abrams Constitution? Baz is taking liberties with the design as did the designers for the new Enterprise. We haven't seen any indication of the Excel so far, and personally, I'd say this fits it very well.

Nice work mate, glad to see you having a go at this design, I still have the 2d version you did a few months ago. :P

I'm liking it, just think the engineering hull should be about twice as wide than it is now.
Oh, and maybe integrate the way the Excel refit's engineering hull bulked out in the middle, that feels VERY JJ to me.

Need I point you to the Abrams Constitution?

The TOS Constitution always had a slim engineering hull and a sticky out deflector dish. JJ just made things shiny, curvy and blue. :D

For V'ger, yes Baz1701 has built one, a good one, and you can fly the Enterprise inside it.

At the moment you could fit a ship inside though I have not tried it yet. There is no mod / script to allow a simple docking.

Not sure I follow you there?  because we got stations and dry docks we dock with all the time.

No, In order for there to be a docking capability, the Stationary [in the hardpoint] in the ships proerties must be selected.

at least when I tried it in several bases, if it was not checked, the game crashed.

But why does there need to be a dock function at all, other than recreating the seen where they got out of the ship and walked to Vjer. but you can't walk on the hull anyway. so agian ask why?
