Not bad, it works as a design to me, even before neb made me realize the blindingly obvious. :P

Actually I think it's Baz's rendition of a JJ-Excelsior.

No look back in this thread for the JJExcelsior.

This ship will be a lost era (later TMP) class Dreadnaught.

BTW I'm dropping the phobos as I have gone off the design now.

A small update to the Nostromo.

All the major parts are now built just some tweaks.

Although that is lost era style, that is definitely the JJ Excelsior stardrive you made before. :P

I see the are similar though both are different builds.

Yes if the excelsior is a heavy cruiser (replacement for the connie) then I want this to be its big brother, so perhaps a dreadnaught or destroyer class

No, I still have fins and stuff to add, and I will try to cut the torp tubes into the hull.

right just a quick update as to where I am with my WIP :-

TOS Connie - HPing
JJrefit - Ready for release
JJ mk 4 - needs HP tweaking
JJ Excel - currently re-arranging JJrefit hp's to suit, also have added specs.

I'm going to be mostly working on these ships for a while. I'm want to try and get all the JJ ships in a release state within the week. For release soon after.

that reminds me, have you guys dropped the poly count on the JJ's...i relized last night why I no longer use em, they're so mem hoggy, they slow everything to a crawl.

The polys are no more higher than most models?

And no the polys have not changed since I last posted news about them.

I did use large textures perhaps thats where your having trouble?

I think its the specular texture size. They dont need to be as big the main texture and having lots of 2048 tezzies isnt overly helpful.

I would confirm that but my comp has been giving me trouble...

I just checked.  i have 3.0 (and wiley's 1.0) with the highs at 2048.  better do some renaming.  I can handle up to 1024's, but I don't wanna go below 512's, or it looks like crap.  i even rezised the damn sheild TGA for a cleaner look.

did either of you guys stick with the 'dim headlights' color on the bussards?
