I think impulse drive still functions at warp.  Reason I say this is because I believe warp only does what it suggests - warps space.  You still need impulse to actually propel yourself.

I like the way you've set up the different engines, mate. (As for impulse, pretty sure that switches off. In the new one they made some fuss about turning off internal dampeners or whatever. I dunno.)

actually warp fields are created in layers and each layer is created sequentialy, this then reduces the mass of the vessel but also the forces enacted upon the layers of the fields create the propulsive forces.

your idea of impulse being used to propel the ship through subspace was used in "babylon 5" obviously it was completly different universe but they used jump gates to put them in "hyper/sub space" and standard engines to move them and it was just that in the "hyper/sub space" travel was faster.

in trek i would postulate that slipstream would need propulsive force from impulse engines. they create a tunnel then use impulse to travel through it.

Yep warp drive causes space to collapse in front of the ship while expanding space behind it. Techinally speaking the ship isn't moving cause its still sitting in normal space, aka inside the warp field. Its kinda of like a surfer riding a wave if I can think of a good analogy for it, the surfer isn't using a engine to propel the board, but using the expanding wave behind him to push him forward.

I think he's got his threads confused. The Aventine is being made by bankruptstudios here: http://bc-central.net/forums/index.php/topic,6330.640.html

What about your NX-01 Refit?  Do you plan to release all of these all together?  When BC Files stops being screwy of course.

Still have few things to button up on the NX pack.

TiqHud is getting ready to HP it as soon as it is finished. I still have to finish texturing the dock and MarkyD's shuttle pod.

I am hoping to get these done before my baby arrives (8 weeks and counting).

Ok here is the shuttle pod. As it is a support ship I'm keeping it simple.

The Delta symbol on the 4th pic is not finshed? It also look a little streched or was that intended, but other than that i can't wate to fly her.

Hmm, we've got our TNG battleship, TNG frigate, maybe a TNG destroyer?
