Not sure how I'll get the doors to open yet.

Here are some views of the Garden and a couple of beauty shots of the ship thus far.

You gonna use Ftech or MVAM to model swap for shuttle launching?

Not sure how I'll get the doors to open yet.

For shuttle launching on this beauty, I'd go with MVAM.  Hopefully that way you'll get nice cutscene as well  :)

The nice thing about Ftech is the intermediate animations, though I hear they're a pain to do. It could be scripted that the doors are open at green alert, and at yellow or red alert, they swivel closed, like how the wings on - I think - the KM BOP swivel down at red alert.

Nice work on the garden :D

Klingon Academy now works on XP/Vista/Win 7 thanks to one dude's patches, click here for details. I highly recommend it!

Ftech anims not a prob. But you need to be visually on them (external view) to appreciate them.  The reason I suggested MVAM is that whether you triggered from bridge or external view, you'll get a nice anim either way which i think suits shuttle launch better  :)

Looking good Baz...id suggest though getting rid of the triangular glows on the lower primary hull...only the registry should have the triangular glow..and then its not really triangular more like an enlongated oval..there are small lights on the port and starboard they shouldn't go much past the four running lights..and then the aft light where 'ENTERPRISE' will be should be circular in shape...that will make this version almost picture or in this case movie perfect.... keep it up buddy!!

I see what you mean on the enterprise one at the back but the others can not see what you mean by the others.

The light glows were created using lights on the model then copying them to the alpha channel of the texture.

Much be6tter Baz...and darran...as you can see from your own picture..the name 'ENTERPRISE' is illuminated and the where the ships registry is, is illuminated...but the port and starboard floodlights are not...

Actually if you look at the pic below, the red line is the centre line of the saucer, and the blue line is the light beam coming from the circled light source

To me the light circled in blue on your image is the front one. It looks like the red line on mine is more the central axis, give or take a couple of degrees.

I'm using this cap for ref with no warp blurring.

there are two faint lights coming off the sides.

I see it too - don't change the width of it, change the height. Smush it down a little bit.
