Once this and D7 are done, what's next? If you continue on TMP line, perhaps new TMP Constellation class would be in order.  :angel

Personally, I would like to see a new Earth Spacedock to go with all of these TMP beauties :D

Might be possible when this one done.

Really loving your work buddy, she is looking better and better! I'd like the see a pic with your worker bee, dry dock and the tpm suit.

I'll do some fancy render once the ship is done.

Just got some feedback from Andrew Probert so will try and alter the ship to match his coments.

Quote
I agree with Jason, it needs to be a LOT whiter.  The ship was almost dazzling white with the paneling being SLIGHTLY darker off-whites with different tints.  The whole ship (minus the graphics) was painted with pearlescent powders giving each panel an unexpected colored sheen, really quite beautiful until ILM got it for the second movie.

I like the model but would double up on the poly count for the saucer.  You don't want to see any straight line along the rim.

Take the comments onboard and have reduced the overall aztec reduced to 10% on the diffused and allowing the specs to to detail them.

Also rebuilt the saucer with more segments.

over all poly count is 24K

That gives me something to shoot for when I do my next version. Awesome ship and a definite improvement over your earlier version. Cookie! :dance

that's a nice polycount for such a smooth mesh. I see you're getting some attention from "the greats" as some may put it. You've improved a LOT, you really ought to be proud of yourself, Baz. :]

The ONLY nitpick I have is the aft thruster quad texture on the nacelles. I haven't paid THAT much attention to the show, but I think it's mis-aligned... it just doesn't look straight to me (pardon the pun :P)

ok some major reworking though it is hard to tell.

Poly count now 20K

New saucer rim mapping and textures, Saucer regs added. Other than the saucer airlock, this bird is almost ready to fly.

I love this ship.  I really do

One minor question though, can you add the ship's name to the torpedo launcher like this?

That is not on the studio model. It was added to the large close up piece of the torpedo room that was originally built to show the reliant cutting into the hull then later it was repaired and painted for the torpedo firing in ST VI on the Enterprise-A but like I said it is not actually on the main model so sorry it won't be added. :)

With this ultra-detailed model you will able to do another movie... You only need some actor to play the role of Jim, Spock and Bones: I am a volunteer for the role of Kirk  :D
