yes, it IS that hard, 'cause there's subtle differences
the model's the same quality
the textures will be slightly different
one version may be higher poly than the other
there will be minor differences in the hardpoint
etc.
I have to pick the one that'll work better with my old comp :P

It could be a typo, something along the lines of "modeling the hell out of it" and "got it fleshed out."

Or "got the hull fleshed out"?

Baz, I have to say, I'm still seeing improvements, in this case, your shuttle-bay area.  Looks very good. :D

Compare your impulse engine to that of the reference pics.  Something seems to be a bit off with how you modeled it.  Otherwise, you're doing an awesome job with this!  Really looking forward to seeing the results.  :)

I'd say the impulse needs to be wider, shorter, and have a less rounded feel where the curve starts.

oh, great...they did it again!  who's do i download?

Really, I'm starting to expect it at this stage, :P

Excellent work, both of you! What I love is that you both do it for the love of the art (or you seem to), you don't mind that the other is working on the same thing - it's your interpretation that matters to you. It's totally the right attitude. No winners or losers.

Well, maybe that's wrong - it's more like everyone wins, you guys get your modelling fix, you improve your skills with every model, and the community gets fantastic new ships!

Just brilliant!

Nearly all ships can Separate their saucer for emergency situations.  What was unique about the Galaxy class was she could separate and then reconnect on a regular basis.  Any other ship would see major Drydock time.
