Gotta agree with Lord Tribble, that section of the underside looks rather off like that.  I know it's kinda like that in Richter's model, but honestly speaking, he did get a number of things wrong with his model, that segmented and darkened part of the bottom of the saucer being one of them.  I hate being nitpicky, especially since you're planning on taking a sabbatical from BC modding, but I really think that the original source materials should take precedence.  I do realize that the movie itself doesn't have too many still shots of the big E, but there is a resource out there, and that's the starship "simulator" of the Blu-Ray's special features.

Again, I hate being nitpicky, I'm just trying to help. :idk:  She really does look great, especially that aft view.

I don't have the blue ray so any refs you have send my way. I have remodelled the shuttle bay area. Picks to follow once I have remapped the area.

I've got a bunch of screenshots from the bluray features (that I think I got from these forums actually), other renders of the ilm model from various places and a couple from the upcoming game. I'll pm you a link  :)

Prefer .zip or .rar?  And what's a good place to upload so anyone who wants/needs can get them?

One thing to bare in mind with the blurays 'vessel simulator' feature caps is that the view screen window doesn't match the size of the one in the film (probably because they didn't want to render a 3d interior for the camera moves and slapped a still frame on it), so the other ilm renders (especially that polar lights model box art render) and actual film screen caps are better reference for that.

Wiley, I'll send you the link too :)

Done.  Gotta ask though, why rebuild the shuttlebay?  It seemed to be pretty accurate to me.

Sorted the dark ring under the saucer. And had a little fun.

She looks great!  I can see a couple of nitpicky things, but I can overlook them easily.
