I'm of Scottish/English/Welsch/Hungarian/Native American descent(maybe a few others in there somewhere?), so I can be offended by just about anything.  I just choose not to be.

I get alternately pissed off by Welsh nationalists (aka plaid cymru) and when they don't piss me off I get pissed of by the rest of the UK. 
But even so, Wales is effectively a state of the UK, somewhat similar to how...I don't know, Idaho? Yes Idaho.  Similar to how Idaho is a state of the USA.  Would a native of Idaho call themselves "Idahoan" (not likely because I just had to make that one up) or would they call themselves American?

At first he said it was a mk 1, which was only ever armed with a 2 pounder gun (40mm).  The 75mm main armament only came along when the mk 5 or 6 was introduced.  
Hence the initial comment about the "piddly little 2 pounder".

Good grief, you'd expect them to at least get the damn hull models right

Providence, Rhode Island Named Top Food City 2012 By Travel + Leisure

Providence has nabbed Travel + Leisure's top food honors in a big way, having now been named the top destination in the United States for ?Food/Drink/Restaurants? in the just-released results of Travel + Leisure magazine?s ?America?s Favorite Cities? poll.  The city finished just ahead of New York, New Orleans, Chicago, and Portland, Ore., which rounded out the top five.

?Providence?s national reputation as a culinary powerhouse is a cornerstone of our marketing efforts,? said Providence Warwick Convention & Visitors Bureau (PWCVB) President & CEO Martha Sheridan. The PWCVB encouraged people to vote in the survey through its social media channels.  ?The depth and breadth of our culinary offerings is phenomenal and we are fortunate to have so many talented people in our city.?

Providence placed in the top ten in all food-related categories but one ? barbecue.  The survey covers many categories, with Providence ranking #4 in ?Theater/Performing Arts,? #1 as a ?Base for Day Trips,? #6 as a ?Gay Friendly Destination,? and #5 as a ?Summer Destination.
