that big storm that swept sideways over the entirety of the US has left us in some interesting situations, here. we got the snow at the start, being right on the edge of the temperature line. then yesterday, we get thunderstorms, complete with pea sized hail, then it all freezes hard overnight. morning chores had to be done very carefully lest I fall on my ass. glad I'm not driving much THIS winter.Limey: cheap tyres can be a plague around here. but good tyres run 100 bucks apiece, so people often only buy one or two to save money...then end up putting them on the opposite axle of where they're needed.

that's why they been teaching us for years how to automatically convert to metric. and look who's talking mister stones weight. this from a country that didn't decimalise it's money untill the 20th century!!
