I'm strange, in the fact that my preferred weather is raining & 45.

I was born to live in the pacific northwest or the UK, but I got stuck first in Hartford then Columbus.
Though much is taken, much abides; and though
We are not now that strength which in old days
 Moved earth and heaven; that which we are, we are;
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

Ya .... the rain wasted my basement, northeren and eastern fence wall as well as about 25 % of my roof and large chunk of garden .... fu**ing yeah... keep it coming... my neighbour just lost his house and I as well as half of his street helped him to evacuate his home just before it collapsed :O whole building was old, I say post WW2 house maybe mid 60', it's just pile of rubble in place of my neighbour house... that's all that's left ... I hate rain...

I feel for you guys, we're getting 34 degrees celcius here in Vancouver, B.C. -- wildfires and air quality alerts with ash from the wildfires falling like snow in the interior toward Kamloops.

ruh roh!
so theyre saying Hurricane Earl is likely gonna be coming up my way and paying a visit to the area Friday night...  i live just south of Boston, Massachusetts...
the news is saying "prepare, but dont panic" (lol ya right - tell that to Joe Citizen frantically running around the grocery store :P)
im wondering if anyone i know will be having any hurricane parties?  perhaps i should set one up at my house  :drink2: :drink3: :drink:

even if we do get effects from the storm, it should be fast moving, tho with winds of about 100 mph...  it would really suck if we lose power, what will we do without the intertubes???

I'm glad I live in AZ. Granted I LOVE watching storms here (the monsoons, winter storms, etc. when they come around), I think a hurricane would be pushing it for me...

Oh, lovely! More humidity! Man, sometimes I hate living in New England...
youre in New England also?  whereabouts?
and ya - the last few days of 95 degrees with high humidity is getting annoying...  everything should cool down by friday tho! lol

so far, theyre saying nothing has really changed with the forecasted track of this storm...
except most of the strongest part will be just offshore; should pass us by with winds of about 100 mph tho...  where i am, theyre saying we should get about 1 - 3 inches of rain and winds of about 50 - 75 mph which isnt too bad but could still do a bit of damage...
alot could change in 2 days tho...
