no snow at all really so far this winter, here in RI...   :)

figured it must be a bit high up in the latitude for such a terrible temperature lol

Given that we have no snow plows in this country, no, we don't. And given past experience, we don't really grit either. The councils are too worried about running out, so ration it

Annoyingly, I seem to be in a bubble thats getting next to no snow at all. On the other hand though, that means I don't need to drive my incompetent mother into work every day.

Up a bit northerly, we got about...oh, maybe two inches yesterday. It's started to disappear already, of course, but...

Anyone here in Oslo, Norway?

I'm here with family for the Christmas period.

Last night, I noticed a wierd phenomenon in the skies. I took some pictures, but these pictures from the web are much better:

Anyone want to take a guess at what it is? No googling, damn you - this is a gentlemanly guessing game!

And no, it's not the Aurora Borealis.

Klingon Academy now works on XP/Vista/Win 7 thanks to one dude's patches, click here for details. I highly recommend it!

holy deja vu batman! lol

theyre saying *another* strong coastal storm is going to form and then move up the coast, hitting us sunday-monday timeframe lol
thats exactly what they were saying a week ago this time, but that storm eventually moved much south of where i am, and out to sea...  tho theyre saying "too early to tell" about the storm, this is total deja vu anyway...
hopefully this one will follow the track of it's predecessor and slide out to sea well south of us...

incidentally, it snowed a little bit overnight here coating the ground, but thats it lol
