I would move saffi to the other bench, that way you could put Brex or Miguel at that side console without blocking her

Breaking news: Sean has offered help on chair anims when has free moment, so can hopefully complete TWOK and other bridges if successful.  And possibly will pass on unfinished bridges.
that is great news :D
Sean and his girlfriend just had a baby boy recently so no doubt his time is stretched tight lol
perhaps youll be able to sort out the red alert issue also?

in either event, it is so good to hear youll be able to get some assistance and advise from one of the elite bridge modders :)

I think a front "pilot" seat would be cooler with a co pilot and different control panels controling the different areas of the ship. Although it apears I'm late to voice my opinion on this lol

Tried rescaled bigger but scale didn't 'feel' right.  Too roomy.
Quote
This class was widely used during the 2360s by Starfleet Academy, and were often the cause of "class-2 claustrophobia" for the cadets who served aboard them, as they were, according to B'Elanna Torres, "fast, maneuverable, but not built for comfort." Tom Paris added that "they used to shoehorn half a dozen cadets into one of these things for weeks at a time," adding, "you did not want to be around when they opened up that airlock." (VOY: "Drone")
 Memory Alpha.

So keeping smaller size for moment. But that means no walkarounds. Sorry folks  :(  Not that there's great deal to see, lol.

As compromise, I've reset viewpoint to tactical seat so it feels like you're in co-control of craft.   I'll try and adjust offbridge crew so player viewpoint goes to forward controls.

I've also tried adjusting viewscreen to wraparound as there'd been some discussion about this (out of interest, where did all posts go?).   Almost works, (see pic)  but as we all realised BC just not designed to use wraparound as image distorts.    What I'm considering as compromise is to 'darken' the side windows with texture using reflection of cockpit interior.... once i've lightmapped it  :)    Could look quite nice.

So, on to lightmapping and adjusting set.

Sounds like as good a solution as any...I look forward to seeing how it looks.  :)

they were deleted...  it was a page of posts going around and around and getting the thread far too offtopic...

Question: is the star field texture separate or a part of the wall texture?

here is another option, to give you a possible idea, but this is from the endgame variant.

Sounds (and looks!) like a good idea to me, mate! You could possibly add some light refraction effects or something, but if you aren't happy with how that turns out, you could always borrow window plates like on the type 11 and runabout.  :D Either way, can't wait to try it out!

wow, really cant wait, and i think you should have ago on making the type 11 cockpit yourself, the one available at the moment as errors(aka incomplete model and lights not changing when at different alerts) anyways extremely well dont on these, i love em!!

IIRC the current T11 set (That I use frequently) is complete. I've never noticed anything missing, and am never in a shuttle when I'd need red alert so...

im saying if you look at screenshots of the type 11 interior from insurection there are differences, and there are holes in the model in the wall next to each door behind the lights. and the lights near the doors arent completed.

The modelling on the type 9 cockpit set is superb! Your skills have improved greatly! I hope you give the runabout bridge a second pass and bring it up to these standards :)

Are those LCARS textures borrowed from somewhere? I think I see a reflection of the Intrepid bridge in one of the monitors.

Superb work!

Lurok91 your work is brilliant. I am just wondering if one of the Exclaibur team having come knocking at your door. I would use most of your bridges as they are now, I am really looking forward to the type 6. And I always use the type 11 cockpit at red alert with fleet of them against a big ship.

as far as the Excalibur Team, they really dont go and search out people to join up...
it is up to the person, if they wish to be on the team, to post at Excalibur forums to sign up for the team...
http://www.stexcalibur.com/forum/index.php/board,50.0.html
personally, i would love to see Lurok ask to be recruited and on the team :)
