You might try changing the Galaxy-style shuttlebay and bridge.  They don't seem to fit with the sharper lines of the secondary hull.

Shorten the neck height to where there's almost no neck at all.  Augment the saucer shuttle bay to flow down to the aft edge of the saucer and have it as a dual impulse engine.  Have the actual shuttle bay on the aft end of the 2ndary hull, and the aft torp launcher on top of it, perhaps back a bit, almost about halfway down the 2nday hull.

I would take a cue from the New Orleans and the other ships made for Best of Both Worlds, make the bridge like twice the size it should be, that will make the whole thing look alot smaller.

I have to agree there!  I think you should size the shuttlebay down a bit...The bridge is already twice the size it should be.  On the New Orleans the shuttle area was quite a bit smaller.

I would personally go with a round saucer, or an oval shaped one like current, but turned 90 degrees. Thou between these two suggestions, the round saucer sounds like a better suggestion to me. The way it looks currently, it feels pretty much like a Galaxy class. The view you made of the ship from the underside facing the deflector area made it look VERY much like a Galaxy class. Not that it's a bad thing, but you've already made one of the best Galaxy classes :)

That's the thing DT:  It's from the TNG Period, meaning Enterprise D....look at the Wolf359 ships...they all had oval shaped saucers like this ship.  It gives off a Galaxy-Class feeling because it's supposed to.  Think of it as a Galaxy-Class that's gone under a shrinking machine.  I personally like what he's done so far :)

DJ - when this model is complete, it would be rather easy to tweak it a bit and have a DJ New Orleans class lol :P :D

If you do shorten the neck, I would suggest only by about 25-50%. Then maybe pull the spine of the neck further out by 30%. So You have a bit of the DJ-esque streamline but still retaining a TNG feel.

As for someone mentioning the nacelles earlier, I would say something between a little more on the slimness of the Soverign nacelles and more the length of the Galaxy nacelles.

Im not so sure about the saucer. in my opinion its a little too big. you might try to make it smaller.

the shuttlebay looks a little too much like that of a galaxy class. i have a good suggestion for that however. is it possible to lengthen it right to the neck, so that it ends just where the saucer connects to the neck? ...

I took a good long look and she looks right.

Perhaps enlarge the bridge slightly and I would give her long Galaxy like nacelles so she falls into the New Orleans family.

I take back what I said about the secondary hull, she looks gorgeous now.

With that Saucer and Bridge, perhaps a differen deck 2/3 design, with a taller and narrower shuttlebay would help to sell the size of the ship without looking like a kitbash.

Looking good to me so far.  :)

I have a suggestion, as far as engines are concerned.

Something I have always wanted to see on a Federation ship and I think you would be able to pull it off nicely.

I would like to see a cross between a Galaxy Class and Ambassador engine. A galaxy engine with the Ambassadors top indented style and the back taper to it. Would be a unique look and still have the TNG feel to it.

Like the idea of a New Orleans Class style to the ship, but with your twist on it.

Looking forward to your next update.

Worked on this ship last night and this morning, as I'm back home for a few days.

I took the suggestion of tapering the backs of the nacelles.  They're smaller than those on the Galaxy, so I wanted to make them somewhat different rather than just scaled down, messing with people's idea of how big the ship is.  I'm going to make a few more changes to them yet.

Made lots of changes to the secondary hull and built phaser arrays, sensor strips, torpedo tubes, impulse engine, spine, yacht, etc.

Now that you've started on this again, does that mean you are finished with the Damar-class?
Though much is taken, much abides; and though
We are not now that strength which in old days
 Moved earth and heaven; that which we are, we are;
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.
