Cookie for both of you.  Not a big ship mod fan and she's not the most elegant of ships, but you've done a great job.  Look forward to trying her out  :)

Next projects are the Firefly shuttle, Enterprise I, and an unrevealed project, having something to do with TOS/TMP era...

Oh, and Starforce, anytime is good for release... ;)

Yea, I put the pulses on her yesterday and having a few people runs testing on it to make sure everything works ok, then it's ready to go.
I just realised something. I've released over 300 fully modded ships for bridge commander. Bow to your master :D

Probably the same thing since Starforce commissioned me to do it.  Shame the images are broken, but it's probably the Suez?  He asked me to do it, so I told him I'd do it my own way, hence the sketch.  As I recall, he liked it. ;)

edit-images removed..image overload..

Ok, since every image was posted 3 times for some reason, I removed the first 2 occourances and kept the attachments. My guess is those images were linked from my team forum which isn't visible to all. For those that can see it it's kidna silly to have them up 3 times..

Edit: Also..just to be CLEAR...the above images are reference material only..not the version to be released.

The ship looks like a cross between the Strider class from legacy and the Okinowa from SFC an excellant blend.

UPDATE: FarShot's WIPs - My ongoing mission...
« Reply #157 on: March 05, 2011, 04:51:46 PM »
UPDATE:  Some of you know of my peculiar educational situation:  I attend a residential high school, so the computers I have access to have blocks that prevent me from installing programs, so I can't use 3ds Max for the better part of two weeks.  Thus, last semester I only was able to put out one project.

This semester, I found a nice portable version of Gmax that runs straight off of a flash drive.  Thus, I can model on the school computers.  I found a lengthy conversion process that goes from .gmax to .md3 to .3ds to importing into 3ds Max, which I've tested, so on weekends I can afterwards UV map the models I work on.

And so, I should be able to get a decent amount of work done, and with spring break, hopefully I can finish this project.

What project you ask?

The Vendetta.  Model is around 2/3rds to 3/4ths done.  Feast your eyes. :P

I like where you are going with this, but I think it would look better with some more curves.

I'm mostly working on modelling the basic parts of the ship, then knocking down on detail.  For example, the saucer of the ship is very edgy right now, but it'll be as in the sketch eventually.  Just saying, I think it's near perfect in the sketch, so I'm not going to be changing it up much.  Most of the inspiration from this design is the Sovereign class.
