Don't sweat it man, everyone's first mods don't live up to scrutiny at first.  I remember my Surpasser class.  Specs didn't go over well, smoothing groups got messed up, I realized how horribly underscaled she was...  I think I want to go back and remake her how she should have been.  You've got yourself a huge ship pack you need to sort out, so take it nice and slow and tackle the challenges that pop up, and it'll come out fine in the end I'm sure. ;)

this is why i'm reluctant to put my first kitbash out (i'm still doing fixes).  I've also dealt with "this sucks bleep, come back when your a professional" types over the years, having been online for 10 years, now.

ok guys i've been getting lots of feed back about origins, and its alot more of a mess than i anticipated i'll blame startrek legacy in a minuet lol.

ok firstly people who have looked at it for me - should i find a way to fix the problems? - not sure how yet??
or scrap it all and start again using the new connie model i've started releasing one at a time instead of a pack?

also no matter how hard i've tried with these they're really not good enough to release but basically that as i said is the fault of legacy, STL dosen't like unified mesh's and each part or the ship using a different texture has to be its own part which means i've cut my ships up to bits for it and not needed - bloody things so with my new models i know not too - my oberth will have the same problem, but im seeing if i can't just weld it all together and unfiy it, hopefully that shouldn't be a problem, i'll finish off my connie tonight once my gf's asleep and apply the textures to her in the morning if shes ok i'll ask baz nicely to once again animate my bussards and i'll ask tiq to hp her and i'll release her instead - UNLESS Origins can be fixed

thanks for all your patience with me and from people like baz and wiley and Every one else who has chimed in thank you so so very much - i'll get there and when i do, i'll make u all proud but alas untill the rest of the review come back to me, im signing off and getting on with my new mesh :D

The models don't look bad at all. Why scrap them and waist all that work? What seams to be the major hicup? If you do start from scratch at least release the meshes.

You fix one ship at a time. I could give you tips on texturing (already, yours are very good). And you could crank out one of the best TOS mods available.

Or you could continue on your new mesh. Definitely your choice.

hey, as long as we can figure out WHAT went wrong with the 3 nacelle types for those of us with older cards, and the Miranda types with newer cards. I'm not having major trouble, myself, except with the hudson and Federation ships (which are perfectly usable as player ships)
everything else is nitpicks, as far as I'm concerned.

Is that the issue with the Miranda's been incredibly GPU heavy if you have more than one on screen? Though the textures on these ships are wondeful.  :)

A Miranda is a Mirands. You should be able to the most part map anyones texture onto any other Miranda.

For example map my TMP Miranda could in threoy map to your TOS one, or vise versa.

You can apply the same poly saving to the miranda you have done to your new connie.

The main lag problem I had with the ships was all the maps were 2048 including the spec maps they can be 512 no problem.
Whatever knocks us back, can only make us stronger.
