Ugh, I was back up and running, now I have other problems.  Can't go to warp with Galaxy Charts any more.  Here's the console report:


Also, random crashes to desktop when a battle starts, no warning, no error message at all.

perhaps you should try playing in windowed mode.

When I use GC and try to warp to a system and it doesn't go to warp , that tells me

1. Something is missing in the system that it needs [to form it-up]
2. the Whole system PY is corrupt, or missing all together

It won't warp ANYWHERE.  At all.

Neb, if you're suggesting that to find the error that makes the game crash to desktop, I'm a step ahead of you, and I get nothing but the Windows "stbc.exe has failed" error.

so when you play in windowed mode the console does not pop up when BC freezes?

It pops up with the error I showed earlier, but nothing before BC freezes and crashes.

Hmm, now, that is Odd. 'can't warp anywhere' even Maltrom systems?' , since those are the core systems for BC [you probably tried them]
 
Can you warp, thru the Set Course menu of Kiska?

OHH, have you checked your Mutators is 'stock systems', 'stock ships', extra ships and mod' on?

I CAN, if I turn of Galaxy Charts...but then, no matter what, I get there in like 10 seconds...and still crashes without a message for quickbattle.

Vanila GC or KM GC?

The error simply states that python cannot multiply the 2 values, one of them is not a number perhaps (could be various culprits). Did you manually edit some of the GC scripts?

you mentioned before you were removing things from your install - you sure it was only ships you removed?

This really is kind of strange  :idk:

Are you missing the "Logger" file in "scripts\Custom\GravityFX" or did it not create a .pyc file from it?
 (or even more unlikely, is the file missing the

Could you switch the "Galaxy Charts Logger Support" options (especialy the Traveller options) under its main Menu Options? (somwhere like Customize -> GalaxyCharts -> Logger)
 Also, are there any "Travel_XYZ_LOG.txt" files in "scripts\Custom\GalaxyCharts\Logs\" afterwards?

i dont know if this helps but i get BSOD when i edit some py files... you sure you haven edited any or installed any new ones coincidently at the same time as getting rid of those other files?

sorry just chucking ideas out there.

example: i tried to do an era plugin for NX era in galaxy charts and it caused BSOD due to [i think] some of the ships i wanted to include having _ in the name.

course it could have just been cause im rubbish at doing py files lol

did you keep ANY of the stock ships at all?  Tiq and I found out that if you do something as simple as replace the Kessok Heavy in the Junkyard set, for example, Gc and even standard warp won't function at all without fixing every one of the set scripts.  hey tiq, do you remember that one?

Okay, let me make this clear, I am no longer getting BSOD.  But the ships will not warp.  They can't set speeds or, in the case of having the DQP, switch to enhanced warp.  I can't intercept.  I can't orbit.  And the game crashes to desktop when I add in an enemy ship.
