I giggled at the MotO cap, newman, but then I've been having a giggle at everyone through this I have to admit (Would kill for an animated version of this thread post-release, would go great with some Looney-Tunes-esque stuff.

)
Please, if you still haven't seen it, I beg you to try avoid this post, so I'll keep it as short as I can.While I didn't see the tribble, I did see Spocks very Picard-like tug on his uniform, though I'm not sure if I read too far into that or not. I saw a few others but I said I'd keep it short. I agree with Billz at least on the point of the casting being done brilliant, and I can't believe just how convincing Urban was, I really felt like I was watching a young Kelley. Hell, I felt that way for everyone, but found myself as a Bones fan now (Or at least realised I was one :lol: )
I'd definitely say the movie accomplished what it was trying with for me, as I reinstalled BC and grabbed Baz and WC's ships, and it's given me a load of inspiration to do trek modelling again.
I too was leaning forward in my seat the instant the action started, and could swear I felt the blow to the head Kirk took from that Rommie (ow!). I've gotta say I love that they've tried to give it a more spacey feel with the camera angles, breaking trek tradition of space being pretty much just a flat path, not to mention it gave up a load of beauty shots of the new girl and the Kelvin (Which I find myself liking possibly more than the E herself, don't hit me!) And that brief warp sequence to dodge the weapons fire, only to drop out soon after and spin around?
HO-LY DA-YUM!...I'm kind of all over this place with this but... "You could hear me
breathing?!" Eager to keep an eye out for all the tributes with my own eyes rather than what I've read (It's nice to actually see the little bits like them), But I'm so worried that I'll just be blown away again that I'll not notice anything!
Bring on the next part, JJ! You have an exploit Roddenberry had when he started this ride: Young Actors! Keep 'em caged, chained, whatever, just don't let these ones slip or you'll regret it! We really don't need a "Welshy" clone! :lol:
EDIT: I'm having trouble finding good reference of the bridge, and I've gone back a far way into this thread. Anyone able to help me out?
