Badass indeed! Those nacelles look like a mix of Connie refit and Vesta nacelles.

SPECIAL THANK YOU to Limey for his excellent work in cleaning up the Mithra's saucer mesh.

Just glad I could help :) Those nacelles look cool, though, why are they at such an angle to the pylons?

As well as the saucer, I also cut a shed load of polys from the deflector mesh. Cutting it from the almost 20k it used to be, to just under 4k.

OH YEAH! Thanks for reminding me Limey! :]

So with Limey's help on the saucer and deflector grate, and with the addition of these new nacelles, the entire ship is merely 25k! [from an original... uhmmm... I think 45k.] :D

Yeah  the nacelles look !very! cool, but am I the only one who thinks they dont really fit the streamline of the ship?  :?

they do, but they dont at the same time.
they look like cannons mounted in place of warp nacelles, but look kick ass none the less, i think those square indents should go, smooth the bussards back out. than that cannon look would go away.
thats my ONLY complaint about those babys.

Thanks for the honesty guys! :] I was worried they'd give off the "I'mma blow your brainz out wiff mah big-arse cannonz!" look, but now that I really think about it I have a really awesome idea that'll fix that right up. I'll do it after work tonight and post up some pretty renders for you. You're right that the overall shape doesn't fit the rest of the ship but that's because I haven't redesigned a couple small yet important elements to follow suit with the bulkier frame... the Impulse Engines, for example, will be getting an overhaul as well as the shuttlebay area [it's a huge mess, you see] and the pylons... whenever I figure out how to do so. :S

Anywho, thanks a million guys! :D

I'm not sure about this but I figured I'd post it and get some opinions... I couldn't make a new shuttlebay for the old mesh; it was just too sloppy and messy to clean up that area. Thoughts?

Looks awesome Aeries!

I think the shuttle bay looks good but for some reason, for a ship of this design I think the shuttle bay doors should be flat... similar to the ones on a Sovereign.

Just my opinion.

I'd almost push the bay aft a bit more, and go with a Galaxy styled bay.  but this still looks awesome.

Wow.  When I look at those nacelles I immediately hear a shotgun being cocked.  Nice!

As for the shuttle bay, the reason it looks off is because it's framed on two sides.  The Constituion had its bulb-shaped shuttle bay out in the open to facilitate angled landings and takeoffs.  But having a bulb shape that's boxed in renders it useless.
