Aeries.  Things are looking good.  I have some ideas for the mesh, but they'd take some work.  Let me know if you want me to post them.

So the other day, I was bored, and didn't feel like working on the Mithra. So, here's a little something I DID work on. No, the stardates are not accurate (to my knowledge) and no, I don't imagine the ship yards bit would be, either. Hell, I dunno... anyways, it's just to give a bit of an idea. The quote on the bottom came from an Eve Online preview I have. Thought it was really cool, so I put that in temporarily as the quote thing... anyways, enjoy. :)

Edit: Yeah, I hand-crafted the insignia... :P Started that off in paint. And yes, this is pink...

Thats what I was saying about the Titan bridges, being re-worked Generations' bridges with sovereign components; The titan bridge is almost exactly how I pictured the Mithra's. It's so odd how the two ships are so similar. I hadn't even seen the Titan until well into the Mithra project. O.o;

But YES! I've been having this thought for a long time, and it's about time I threw it out there... I've been wanting to make a Mithra PACK. That being, several varients of the ship, NX, Battlecruiser, and a third as... whatever I think of. :/ In this pack, I want to have a Bridge, the ships, and I've been meaning to ask about BC's shield system. Would it support any other shield system other than a bubble? Because, I want to try skin shielding. To my knowledge, the shields are pretty much just a  transparent model... in a sense... aren't they? I dont know, but it that's the case, it should be really easy to make skin shields for the Mithra.

But yeah. I wanna make a big deal out of the Mithra. :)

In any case, I didn't think so... it was a thought that popped into my head yesterday when I was thinking of some different things I want to do for the Mithra; Ablative armor, skin shielding, fresh bridge... I wanna make my very first project into something big and special. :)

I think he's right, skin shields are impossible for BC I THINK correct me if I say bullshit^^

Well I did a search and I can't find any evidence that the topic has been touched with a ninety foot clown pole. I know that it was brought up in Excalibur as an idea, as I was a part of the conversation, but so far I can't see any evidence that it's been thoroughly discussed for BC. If anyone experienced with this has any further information or links to where it HAS been discussed, please let me know. I know my model isn't really done yet, but it would be nice to know if skin shields CAN be done, and what it'll take to make it happen. Because if it can... I'd LOVE to do it... 'cause so far as MY knowledge goes, the shields are really just a transparent model of some sort with textures... or something... of some kind... maybe... :/ I dunno.

Ablative armor, fresh bridge that we can do. But skin Shields are impossible.
I remember a thread here going on about it, and I am pretty sure the outcome was negative.

BC has a lot of limitations. Look at what they are planning with Excalibur. Most of the stuff isn't possible in BC.

I know well of the bridge and Ablative armor, that much is simple enough... would you happen to have a link to the thread regarding the shields in question? I did a search and came up with nothing.
