Aeries has spoken! His words are wise! Believe!! I do love the Mithra though and would be most happy to have it in my BC install one day.
"To live on as we have is to leave behind joy, and love, and companionship, because we know it to be transitory, of the moment. We know it will turn to ash. Only those whose lives are brief can imagine that love is eternal. You should embrace that remarkable illusion. It may be the greatest gift your race has ever received."

Can a ship have a birthday if it's never actually been born?  :?

Anyway, good luck Aeries, I hope you get this ship out the door someday soon!

no need to bump a thread without an update, thats just being a tease :P

@ Farshot:
That I have. I think it's coming along much better than before... Although starting a saucer or anything else for that matter is a pain; I'm finding it to be a great challenge to get the shape just right. :/

@ Limey:
I hadn't really decided yet. I think I'll be making into an exhaust manifold of some sort... as I said on MSN, I got much of my inspiration looking at images of a Dodge Viper SRT10. :P [My favorite car, by the way.]

Loving it, Aeries. Really, really good. Ooh, ooh, tell us the story about the Deflector Poly increase!
Oh, and I really like what you've done with the exhaust manifold.

Those torp tubes look a little out of place there actually. Can't they go above the deflector like most ships?

Never seen the Sovereign? Has forward torpedo tubes in exactly that position.

There's going to be a forward quantum torpedo turret similar to the Sovereign's, just forward of the deflector housing. Adding to that firepower, will be an additional two quantum launchers embedded into the saucer rim in the same manner as the Defiant. The two launchers you see there are photons. ;)

Following that, will be another two photon launchers mounted to the aft in front of the venty thing, where I've placed a raised panel at the center.
