B'rel Class WIP
« on: December 22, 2007, 09:44:08 PM »
Well, i guess ill start this thread (again) ;)
The B'rel is all done except the MVAM.
So ill post some screenies of her both models, wings up and down,
depending on how long it will take to sort out MVAM i might do some more modelling before release.
Oh, and this has visible damage,
I wanted to keep the detail on the low poly side, cough32kcough.
But thats low for me,

Is there going to be more 'something' in the textures? Its kind of a dull green thing you have going there.

Who is doing the hardpointing? To be perfectly honest, it doesnt seem that hardpointing is your strongest skill. The models look great though.
Can't wait for 2014 to start.

yeah, i might do something else with the textures around the mail hull,
yeah, im pretty bad at hardpointing, but the people that have tested it so far actually like the hp's which is a first for me, haha

Why not use F-tech for the wings?  It'll be more dramatic and cool

That's what I suggested too... but Lint thinks MVAM would be "easier".

k, you proved physical damage, though I think your Polycount is exaggerated, sry but I think it's wasting polys

See, now that count is alot more reasonable. Yes, i'm sure BC can handle higher poly like at 50-60k each. But you won't get many people able to run the game with those ships if you do. And your B'rel looks really good at that polygon level you have now. If you can shave off a little more, all the better but ~20k is acceptable.

Yeah if you could add a lot more details to the texturing and at the same time lowering the polycount of the mesh, I think you have a winner.
